Jorian Holka is a 20-year old musician from Ransomville, NY (just north of Buffalo). He attends classes at The State University of New York at Fredonia, where he is currently a senior double-majoring in Exercise Science and Sport Management. Although his studies may not reflect it, Holka has been working to leave his mark on the rock music scene for quite some time now - but his greatest journey yet has just begun. Upon entering high school in 2010, Holka formed his first band HolKampany (pronounced “whole company"). The group released its 19-track original album “Juvenile Gentlemen” in August of 2014, generating a decent amount of buzz in the Western New York area. However, Holka soon realized that the cookie-cutter pop-punk sound HolKampany was adhering to would not allow the band to progress any further than it already had. Because of this, HolKampany was re-branded as New History in late 2015, maintaining its members but aiming to generate more intricate hard rock music (which Holka has always been passionate about). After a few months of writing, two performances, and traveling to New York City to audition for America’s Got Talent with the “new” band, Holka came to another realization - his musical vision was simply not going to be achieved if he didn’t make some drastic changes. From ideological differences with band members to their lack of commitment and more, Holka new that he’d better be able to create the music he wanted to and knew he was capable of on his own. In turn, Holka broke with New History in the spring of 2016 in order to pursue his solo career. Influenced by such artists as Green Day, Foo Fighters, Billy Talent, Royal Blood, Hoobastank, My Chemical Romance, Nickelback, Sum 41, and many more, Holka’s solo project is an intermingling of numerous genres and their respective sounds. The latter is demonstrated well by his debut release “EP1”, which was unleashed in the summer of 2017. On it, Holka plays every instrument and sings every vocal, in addition to recording, mixing, and mastering the entire EP himself. Ryan Gurnett of All WNY Radio writes " ...
