Every third full moon, Björn Yttling, one half of Abstract Crimewave, gathers a group of Sweden’s absolute finest park bench philosophers and jazz cosmonauts for rapturous jam sessions that goes on for days. They become Yttling Jazz. Sometimes some of it has been caught on record. Now they have paired up with mysterious chanteuse Lykke Li and recorded an esoteric and glistering vibraphone heavy remix version of the hit “The Gambler”.

Björn Yttling (who is Bjorn in Peter Bjorn & John) is the world known versatile writer and producer who co-wrote and produced Lykke Li from day one and across her first three albums and also the acclaimed fifth album that was released 2022. They are currently working together on new Lykke Li music. Some other artists he has worked with are First Aid Kit, Robyn, Tom Odell, Kygo, Franz Ferdinand, Primal Scream, Weezer, David Lynch, The Hives, Sarah Blasko, Neko Case, Chrissie Hynde, Shout Out Louds and many others. But very few people know that he is also a schooled jazz musician. As a youngster he went to one of the finest jazz schools in Sweden. Björn even took the train to Stockholm every week to get private lessons from the late great legend Esbjörn Svensson.

Yttling Jazz has released one previous album “Oh Lord Why Can’t I Keep My Big Mouth Shut” (2005). Finally new original music coming during 2025.
