Terrific show. Prine’s singing and playing was excellent and backed by an excellent band. Kasey Weldon was a solid warmup and she long with John’s wife sang on the last song of the evening. Go if they come to your town.

So So glad I was able 2 seen John Prine live. This was my first time and if he ever comes back or close by I will definitely see him again. Love Love John Prine.

Cool place to see or hear a show. If the show is not billed as lawn screen you really can not see the stage from the lawn. But nice place. BYOB. Finding parking can be a challenge the first time there, plan on a walk of about 10 minutes from closest parking.

With Tom Snider opening this show got off to an awesome start . John and his band played a great show featuring new and old songs .

Amazing concert! He did a great job balancing the ratio of new songs with the old songs. The opening artist had an amazing voice as well!

For a man who hasn’t been well this was a fantastic show; great (touching) new tracks blended with his classics. My dad was disappointed he missed seeing JP the last time he was in Melbourne and expected he’d missed his chance, especially knowing his health issues. It was a special night!

Great night calling in the new year with John Prine. John was in top form and played till 1:00am. Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats opened and also blew us away. Don’t miss the chance to see them live.

So glad to see a totally packed house for the legend that is John Prine. He did not disappoint. Still able to perform despite all the health problems. Truly hope we are able to see him again at some point down the road. Wonderful show!

I’ve listened to John Prine’s music for decades. This was my first time to see him perform live. It was enjoyable from beginning to end. He is one of our great American songwriters. Every word was clearly heard and the songs evoked the same emotions that I felt when hearing them for the first time. His band was first rate.

Such a fantastic show! This was , sadly, the first time I’ve had the pleasure of seeing one of his shows. It was an incredible introduction to his music and his life!

Only because you only offered me 5 stars. It was 17 stars at least! Every cut from Tree of Forgiveness plus a bunch of classics that he seldom plys. Superb!!

This was the fifth time I’ve seen John, in the last 40yrs. and it was by far the best show ever, all were great, but this one was over the top. Great backing band, and it appeared that John had a blast.

Was a great show !! Finished up with “paradise” and seeing 71 year old john “cut a rug” was awesome !! Lilly Hiatt done a great job as well, such a beautiful voice !!!

Wonderful show! Glad I took my wife to her first Prine gig. Very entertaining despite his voice really sounding rougher these days...God bless you & your music!

John Prine is a legend and a class act all the way around. he played hard for.two straight hours! as for the venue, the Taft Theatre was unbearably hot!!

If you need to be reminded of why John Prine is a living legend: go see him. Worth every penny.

A little older, a little slower, but the man can still sing and play. Great show John! Thanks and hope you come back home to Chicago real soon.

After a week of pure hell, I was feeling really low, sad, and defeated. But as bad as this week was, the show last night was equal parts good. We just may make it after all. With folk like John as our guides. Love, pure love.

America's true poet. His songs moving, sad, funny, honest, relevent. Lyrics that effectively put you into the scene. John was again fully engaged with and adored by his audience. His picking in top form and his band supporting so well. This man is all good and a treasure.
