Blacktop Mojo is an uber talented band. Vocals are off the chart and the guitars are smoking. The sound at the Barrel House is never great, but it didn’t do the band justice in my opinion. I love this band and I hope and pray they play Soldiers and Sailors here in Chattanooga one day! As a side note, I was disappointed there wasn’t a bigger crowd for this band on a Friday night in Chatt. Maybe the venue is the issue.

Great venue, if you’re able bodied. However and unfortunately I’m a wheelchair user and the accessible viewing area was right at the side of the stage so you couldn’t hear any of the vocals because all the speakers were directed to the front. I was very disappointed. Many venues provide an elevated platform at the back of the venue. Maybe Bread Shed should rethink where to put the accessible viewing area. Would I go see Blacktop Mojo again? Yes. Would I recommend the Bread Shed for accessible viewing? No. I came away only having experienced half of what the rest of the crowd experienced.

Didn’t know what to expect from this small venue. These boys blew my socks off , them boys can play their asses off . I feel bad because the crowd was super small and the way these guys sound and play they deserve a much bigger audience. They need publicity and let people know they are here and ready go. I’m sure we will see them in arenas soon enough. Looking forward to the next time I can see them

This was my first time seeing Blacktop Mojo, and I could not have seen them in a better venue. Perham Hall has that small club vibe, and the promoters have done a great job of bringing in exceptional talent. The max capacity is around 3-400 people so everyone has a great view. As can be seen from the photos, we were right up front for a couple of the opening bands and Blacktop. I was fortunate to get a drumstick, and all of the guys in the band were cool enough to sign it for me. You would not likely be able to get that close to them at most venues. But at Perham Hall, most artists interact with the crowd and the guys in Blacktop Mojo were some of the nicest to date. A big shout out to Leviticuss, the promoter, for continuing the legacy of great shows at Perham Hall!

Black Top Mojo – Verdict: Guilty of Rocking the House (5/5) Black Top Mojo put on a high-energy show that never let up. The band read the room like seasoned counsel, interacting with the crowd from the first riff and sustaining that connection through the final chord. Vocals were strong, guitars hit with conviction, and the rhythm section kept the pulse airtight. Loved the bass! No filler, no fluff—just a tight case for modern rock done right. Objection to boredom: overruled. I absolutely loved the set, and the audience clearly did too. Case closed.

We have seen Mojo at least 5 times now and they always put on a great show. They remember their fans by coming up before the show and saying hello because they remember you. My wife and I are old rock and rollers and they have renewed my faith that Rock is not dead but Alive and Well. Their original music is amazing but once in awhile they will through in a cover like Stranglehold and they nail it. We love this band, if you get a chance to see them you won't be disappointed. KA

Ate Piesanos before the show, great $40 pizza. The warm up act, Brayden Stewart was impressive with great jams! Blacktop, Mojo came out kind of flat, but then picked it up. Felt like the lead singer was looking at me directly the whole show, bassist was constantly making crazy faces and the lead guitarist looked like a FBI agent. Highlight of the show, got an acoustic Whipping Post cover. And the closer.Dream On was pretty tight!

What an amazing gig, a joint one with Shaman's Harvest - my wife and I had a meet and greet VIP with them and what a pleasure it was to meet them and chat with them pre-gig, have photos on the stage with both bands - musically, Blacktop Mojo were on first and they were fantastic, so tight, interacted with the crowd and they simply had fun - its so nice to see a band that thoroughly enjoy doing what they are doing and not going through the motions - please, please, please give these guys (and Shaman's Harvest) a try - you will NOT be disappointed!!! FIVE STARS ALL ROUND!!!

These guys never disappoint! An amazing show with three killer opening bands. We drive ten hours to see them here in Tulsa at the Shrine. Which was a great venue with an awesome staff and bar. Fast fair priced drinks, great vibe. Thanks Matt and the gang for another amazing show. BTM killing it! We drive to Shawnee the next night for the next show. Changed up set list, amazing covers and cool venue also.

First the Rattlesnake is such a fun venue the stage is elevated so there isn't a bad view in the house! Joint Custody opened for Blacktop Mojo and they were a perfect fit totally complemented their music style. Also rocked some great tunes of their own. Then Blacktop Mojo came out on fire!!🔥🔥 They were spot on with their new songs off Pollen and rocked some old tunes too!! They are a band that sounds exactly like their records and videos so satisfying!!! They have a sound that feeds the soul and leaves Yu wanting more! They could have played all night and we would have all stayed listening dancing and having the time of our lives!

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing! Not only are they talented, but they are also incredibly nice bunch of guys. Matt James has the most powerful voice! Just a natural talent. Bass player Catt Murtis is not only talented, he is so much fun to watch on stage. The guitar players Chuck and Malcolm play so well together. No egos there! Just talent and fun. Nathan is a power drummer. He guides in the back but makes you take notice with his talent. Can't wait to see them many more times in the future!

Amazing live! Every band member is very talented. I was impressed with the interchanging of instruments between the group with the lead singer playing bass and guitar at one point. His vocals are deep, soulful with a Southern rock vibe. He has such range and depth that leaves you captivated yet curious as to why they are not headliners. One of the most underrated bands in my opinion. The only thing disappointing with his concert was the fact that they didn’t play long enough I was left wanting to hear more.

I came across Blacktop Mojo some years ago. I took a chance on seeing a band I knew nothing about and have been a fan ever since. When I heard they were opening for Nonpoint, I booked a hotel, and drove the hour and a half to the show. They did not disappoint, putting on a show, although not as long as when they’re headlining. But a great show all the same. It was quite the magical night. Nonpoint and Blacktop Mojo, two killer high energy bands.

Blacktop mojo was great as always considering the venue. The stage was pretty small. No dis respect to the town of Vandailia geat people very nice event. I love the band and their music and believe they are the fastest shooting bands in the world. It’s a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll. And even harder today with current music scene if you’re not top country top classic rock or rapp no ones going to hear you . So I push these guys on everyone everywhere I go to speed their TRIP TO TOP.

What a great show. BTM came out with a set list of about 17 songs I believe. They played all of them and more. Awesome show. The guitarist shredding the bass and drums holding the beat and Matt belting out the lyrics. When I first discovered these guys on Spotify, I told myself, Dave, if they ever come to California you gotta go see them. I’m usually the kind of guy that goes a sees a band because of a great guitar player. These guys are different. They are the complete package each and every one of them knows their part and do an exceptional job of killin it. Oh they got guitar players. In fact they all play guitar and quite well. At one point Matt James even played bass while the bass guitarist played lead on a Les Paul. They flat out rocked the house and blew my mind. If you get a chance to see these guys. Don’t miss it. 5 stars to Blacktop Mojo. Ya’ll come back now, hear?

Once again Blacktop Mojo delivers some of the best music and energy you can experience in rock and roll. They are talented down to earth guys doing what they love to do and making the Mojo Nation love them more and more with each show. This was #4 for me and I cannot wait to see the tour dates next year so I can see them again and again! This was an beautiful venue!
