NL Als trio met een gemiddelde leeftijd van 13 jaar, zette Bogus zijn eerste stapjes in de muziekwereld in 2006. Het jaar daarop haalden ze hun eerste prijs binnen door de jury van kunstbende te overtuigen met hun jonge improvisatorische talenten op sax, gitaar en cajon. In 2008 behaalde Bogus de 1ste prijs tijdens de muziekwedstrijd 'Le Tremplin du Dauphin' in het Noord-Franse Loon-Plage. Daarbij wonnen ze cd-opnames en werd hun eerste album 'vertex' geboren. Verder namen de broers De Schepper deel aan het nationaal concours 'Music Live' en bemachtigden ze een concertreis in Tanzania. Een uitbreiding tot kwartet bleef niet langer uit. Met de aanvulling van bas en drum kreeg de muziek van Bogus een energieke boost. Het kwartet zette zijn eerste stapjes in de jazzwereld en ook in het buitenland kreeg de groep steeds meer erkenning. Ze brachten er verschillende concerten in Duitsland, Frankrijk en Portugal. In december 2014 komt het langverwachte album uit waarin er geflirt wordt met wereldmuziek en jazz in de composities van de broers De Schepper. Gast op de cd is rasmuzikant en SABAM-award winnaar 2014, Bart Maris. ENG As a young trio, with the average age of 13, BOGUS took the plunge into the music world in 2006. Already one year later these youngsters convinced the jury of ‘Kunstbende’ of their talents by improvising on saxophone, guitar and cajon. In 2008 they won the first prize in the band contest ‘Le Tremplin du Dauphin’ in Loon Plage (North France). Some CD-recordings were their reward and soon their first album ‘Vertex’ was a fact. In 2009 the De Schepper brothers took part in a national competition ‘Music Live’ and acquired a concert tour in Tanzania. The expansion to a quartet was bound to happen; by adding bass and drum Bogus got a real energetic boost. The boys ventured into the jazz world and they also gained recognition abroad during their concerts in Germany, France and Portugal. December 2014 Bogus realized its long expected album full of world music and jazz composed by the De Schepper brothers.
