Originally from Nice, France, international DJ French Kiss (Doris Carabetta) moved to London when she was 20 years old. Shortly after her arrival, Doris began her career in nightlife as the Manager for one of London’s most notorious clubs TRADE @ Turnmills. Whilst @ Turnmills Doris booked and worked with some of the biggest names in music including Federico Scavo, The Cube Guys, Todd Terry, Marco Santoro, Felix Da HouseCat, Dj Chuckie, Christopher Lawrence, John Fleming, Tall Paul, Steve Thomas, Carl Cox, Tony Devit, Boy George, David Guetta, Danny Tennaglia, Junior Vasquez, Lisa German, Nick Tcherniak, King K, Fergie to name just a few! Doris’s artistic passion and calling for music led her to purchase her first DJ equipment. It wasn’t long before DJ French Kiss was born and a loyal following quickly amassed. DJ French Kiss played her first gig @ Nag Nag Nag in Bristol. Soon after many more gigs followed including DTPM at Fabric, Smack at Egg, French Kiss at Essence/Turnmills and Wish at Gramophone. It was during this time that Doris began producing original material and remixes for clubs and scoring underground hits with her tracks. In 2008, DJ French Kiss left London and headed for the U.S. to expand her life and music experience. She landed in South Miami Beach, FL where she embraced the clubs and unique regional flair. Performing all over the area, DJ French Kiss became a staple on the nightlife circuit. After two years in Miami, DJ French Kiss packed her bags and headed to Los Angeles to make her mark on the Hollywood hipster club scene. Today, she is playing at some of the biggest and hottest clubs throughout the Los Angeles area and working on remix projects and original productions under the moniker DJ French Kiss.
