Really great performance from the band. Mix in the room was weird, with drums set too high and hard to hear lead guitar for a lot of the show.

A force to be reckoned with, HoF brought it and then some. I felt like I had been pummeled after the show. The openers, High Command and Zeta were good too with the latter being a mix of Pink Floyd psych rock, Metal,, thrash and Latin rock.

Fantastic show. Can't wait to see them live again. Nice, "intimate" venue, as they say. Easy to get right up front and into the pit.

I only gave it four stars because of where the show was. High on Fire always deliver (OF COURSE) but the Hawthorne Theatre always f*cks up a good show; the sound bounces all around and gets all muddied, distorted and garbled. I mean, it's a cavernous box with too-high ceilings that wasn't made for live music.
At any rate, Mos Generator were the opener and they were great and fun and seemed to have a good time, themselves.
And. Then: the mighty ... nigh-unstoppable war-beast that is High on Fire took to the stage.
And who, to my wondering eyes, should appear behind the drum kit? Why, their newest (hopefully permanent) drummer, Coady Willis! But, I digress... Matt snarled a greeting to the crowd then High on Fire ripped, thundered, pummeled, plundered and blasted their way through their setlist.
Roughly 75 minutes later ... it was over.
ANOTHER successful slaughtering of souls by Matt Pike & Co. Nothing left for them to do but drink blood from some of their enemies' skulls. Per usual.

As far as music goes this was a great show. All the bands were heavy af.
My only complaint is it started 45 minutes early for some reason.

Holy shit! First live show I've seen of High on Fire. Matt Pike is a guitar god. Amazing show. Do not miss this concert! You won't be disappointed.

Power Trip were a blast, Devil Master were yawn-tastic & Creeping Death got gypped having to open when hardly anyone was there (they were CONSIDERABLY better than Dev. Mas.). However, let me be clear:
The mighty HIGH ON FIRE brought the thunder down upon us all; ripping heads and melting faces! ... Same as it ever was ...

Absolutely incredible. High on Fire is the best band on the planet right now. Unfortunately, the crowd didnt think so. The place was packed for Power Trip and ppl were going nuts, but it thinned out quick when HOF hot the stage. HOF was firing on all cylinders. The new drummer gelled well with at Matt and Jeff. Matt was an absolute beast, I have never seen him play so ferociously! This is THE High On Fire you have to see and get your fucking face melted off your skull!!!!

I was honestly surprised by Matt Pike’s energy. I’ve seen him with Sleep a couple times recently so I wasn’t expecting the rapid spitting animal he was!! The show ripped!!

This was my first time seeing High on Fire in concert and I have to say, they're KILLER live. If you get a chance, you must see them!
Hartford, CT@Webster Theater
Power Trip is a band jumping up to the next level with the big boys. Do yourself a favor and check them out. High On Fire is a non stop metal machine steamrolling everything in their path.

It was w disaster for High on Fire. Des Kensel was MIA! Replacement drummer was...."some guy" lol. Matt had mondo technical difficulties poor guy. His vocals were shit, his solos were shit, the setlist was short and shitty. The sound mix was a mess: I couldnt hear Matts guitar! I waited 6 hours to see High on Fire and what an Fn disappointment. They were here in 2016 and they killed that show, so I know they are way better than this. The highlight of the night for me was Spirit Adrift! Phenomenal! Black Wizard killed it too! Dopethrone has hilarious vocals that are redeemed by heavy riffs. Doomriders was good. Amateur garage punk band Hashteroid needs work. Toxic Holocausts songs all sound alike...stupid Slayer ripoff band. Overall great value you get a show from 630pm to 1am for $50, but holy shit that is a BIG test of endurance.

Missing: one head. Last seen being torn off by High on Fire; possibly hanging, as a trophy, from Matt Pike's belt. MANY thanks, Sirs!

Band sounded great! Super high energy and fantastic set list. Unfortunately, weather kept a lot of people from turning up, but a tremendous show none the less.
Boise, ID@Neurolux Lounge
What a bad ass show! But for some reason moat sound guys over mic the bass drum and ots all you can hear. At least for the first 3 bands. High on fire sounded great!

Sound wasn't the best but didn't really expect it to be great considering the venue. The opening acts were amazing too and I'm definitely glad to have seen and heard them.

Fantastic concert! Finally got to see one of my favorite doom metal bands and they put on a great show! Can't wait to catch another concert of their's!
Miami, FL@Grand Central
Wind hand put on a killer opening set, but Kvelertak belongs on stage at Warped Tour, not a Stoner Metal show. High on Fire was amazing, and Pike rocked the house.
San Francisco, CA@Regency Center Grand Ballroom
They were great but crowd was kinda lame. Bunch of bobble heads. The boys played a modest set with no encore which kinda bummed me. I could have used a few more tunes but thats what you get when you have a quality metal band playing for bobble heads. Id rather leave and get wasted to ;-) cheers High On Fire! You guys wail!
Vancouver, Canada@Venue
maybe I had the bar set to high...but it wasnt what I expected. the fact the bass player was such an awesome dude is the only reason I give them 3 stars.
