WOK is a Hungarian band originating from Hungary. The band was formed in 2012, although it's members known each other since years from Győr's different formations/ensembles of punk/rock and metal, moreover playing together at times in one band or another. Besided the band’s strong trio, the main members are always accompanied with a second guitarist, even though the very person behind the guitar changes annually. The members' taste in music is fundamentally different (AFI, Silverstein, Papa Roach, Markus Miller, Maximum the Hormone, Nirvana etc.) creating their mixed music style. Their music is heavily inspired by Californian type skate-punk or rock, although it's melodious, quick and youthful pulsation is frequently goes together with cleverly resolved, funky bass, metallic groove or rebellious rock and roll races. Their English written songs are covering everyday stories, experiences or problems. During it’s existence, the band released three singles and numerous music clips. The Rice of the Sumo Fighters (2012), the Noodle, Potato and Rice (2014), as well as the the Table Tennis Without T-Shirt (2017).
