ANNABEL LEE について

ANNABEL LEE
“Alt-rock killer Queen ANNABEL LEE is rising from the L.A. underground scene biting down a knife as sharp as the lyrics to her song. She started out kicking it in the New England scene, where she would develop that manic, live-wire stage presence and energy that’s characterized her every step of the way. Lee seems to go berserk and believable rumors say that she has the power to induce that savagery in the audience as well.“- LADYGUNN
Described by Wonderland as "a raw and unfiltered powerhouse," Annabel Lee's music captures the essence of rebellion and self-expression. Her sound is a visceral blend of punk rock intensity and haunting melodies, a reflection of her relentless drive and fearless approach to artistry.
Buzzbands.la praises her for "shattering the norms and challenging the status quo with every performance." Annabel's live shows are an experience of catharsis and raw energy, leaving audiences both exhilarated and introspective. Her lyrics delve into the depths of personal and societal struggles, resonating with a generation that refuses to be silenced.
In her own words to LADYGUNN, Annabel Lee states, "I create music to confront and conquer. It's a battle cry for the unheard, a voice for the unseen." Her relentless passion and unyielding spirit have solidified her as a formidable presence in the music industry, an artist who demands attention and leaves an indelible mark on all who encounter her work.
Annabel Lee began her musical journey as the acoustic opener for hardcore shows around New England when she was a teenager, honing her craft and building a loyal following. She has since played hundreds of shows around the US sharing stages with Indigo De Souza, Zella Day, Moon Walker and Amanda Palmer, converting new audiences into hardcore fans wherever she goes. Her music has been used across film and TV including placements in HBO's Mrs. Fletcher (trailer), Netflix's Lucifer, ABC's The Rookie, and a national Casper Mattress commercial. She was famously booted off of Songland by Leona Lewis when Ester Dean said “you’re an artist, don’t give away your song…I love everything about you.”
In 2023, Annabel Lee released her debut album, Mother's Hammer. The album received significant airplay on LA's KROQ and The SoCal Sound, and garnered editorial inclusion on playlists across Spotify, Apple, TIDAL, and Amazon.
Annabel curates and hosts outlandish, themed, multimedia immersive events around Los Angeles including “The Sweat Gala” and “A Night At the Opera”, which have become a cornerstone of the LA art scene, blending music, visual art, film, and performance in a celebration of creativity and expression.
“The alt-pop frontrunner rises to the tempestuous challenge of the debut album, impressing with the diverse and compelling project. A provoking, consistent and complex album, Mother Hammer is a more than worthy entry into the pop-rock stratosphere, and leaves Annabel Lee poised for a big future.” - Wonderland Magazine

The great and powerful Annabel Lee would have been worth the drive from Columbia even without the other bands (both also fantastic). For me, hearing "Mother Mary" live was the highlight, but every song was delightful and dramatic.

The stage was much too small for her 🔥🔥 set!! Her support was stellar, and the force that is Annabel Lee won’t be tamed for long. Fantastically impressed with this opener, and much love to Hembree for bringing her out!! The small, intimate venue of Hotel Cafe made this a spectacular night out for a show. Happy holidays 🎄
