Using an onslaught of Melodic guitar riffs, breathtaking harmonies, intricate bass lines and meticulous drumming, Variance is out to change the perceptions of what an unsigned band is capable of doing. Taking elements from such bands as Iron Maiden, Trivium, Killswitch Engage, and A Break in the Storm, Variance uses their unique technical skills and individual talents to create their own versions of metal mixing the old school with the new. This group is by no means new to the musical scene, having opened for nationally touring bands such as Sonata Artica, Mastadon, Trivium, and Dethklok. Consisting of members Devan Kranz (providing his harsh vocals), Mitch Scobell (shredding it on lead guitar and back up vocals), Ben Breese (bringing the bass). Now introducing former shredders of A Break in the Storm, Andy “Goose” Immel (lead guitar), and last but not least, Rob Omeig (kickin it on the drums). These five musicians all come from different musical genres but all have one thing in common, they all know how to shred and share their gift.
