Fantastic show! It was Neil Finn's birthday, which made it extra special. Was really blown away by Neil's continued vocal dexterity. The band's musical prowess is very fine, and I was particularly impressed by Neil's son Liam. It felt like a great evening of love, and the whole crowd sang along.

Neil Finn is one of the greatest singer/songwriters and rock musicians of all time. It's always a treat to see him in any venue. It was also special to have Mitchell Froom on keyboards playing the iconic parts he created for Crowded House since their inception. It's a can't miss show.

The show was excellent. Music was great, voices were in fine tune. They played all of there best songs and were great on stage and with the audience. I have wanted to see them for a long time and am extremely glad I had the chance. Will definitely go the next time they come through town. I took my 30 something sons along and they were very pleasantly surprised by what a good show they put on. A+ in my book!

First off: The State is a beautiful old venue, just a wonderfully intimate space for a performance by a favorite artist. As for the artist, I’ve been a fan for better than 35 years. They and their audience have both gotten a touch older, but they’re still making great, melodic music and they still have the ability to put on a captivating show. (To be sure, the addition of Neil Finn’s sons to the lineup has injected a bit of youthful vibrancy.) The musicianship and onstage wit are still there, and Neil’s voice still holds up. If you love the band, you won’t be disappointed; if you only know them for that old “hey now” song, seeing them in concert might well be enough to spark your interest for a deeper dive into the discography.

1st time seeing them since 1987-after their debut album. So fun to span their history of hits with a few Split Enz songs mixed in as well and listen to Neil’s amazing voice. They sounded great they were engaged with the audience and love that they’re touring smaller venues for a more personal connection!

What a wonderful concert!!! They all were having a good time....could have kept playing on and on .. I wish! The song list was amazing, especially the encore. What a performance A+++ 10* Very lucky to be able to see them. The theater was beautiful! The whole area around it was very nice, comfortable, easy access.....could not have been a better night. Great concert and awesome to see the band live. Venue was excellent and just right. Only disappointment was mucking up on Hole in the River, the one song I wanted to see them really nail live. There was a little too much ballad/new stuff but they got to most of their classics.

Love this band. Concert was just OK. Not a fan of the children of artists being the opener. Or waiting to play until 9pm on a weeknight. “An evening” with Crowded House would have been nicer. Choice of songs drew heavily from first album, but nice overall. Performance was good. Sound was good.

Great show. They played for over 2 hours and did almost all the classics. I was disappointed that Tim Finn was not there. I was expecting both brothers but instead we got Neil and his 2 sons. The vocals were tight and the instrumentation was spot on. The Orpheum is a great venue. We drove up from Bellingham for the show. The opening act was one of Neil's sons and he was just OK. I was not impressed.

Crowded House put on a loose but very enjoyable show at the Orpheum last night. First, I love Crowded House and there's no singer / songwriter / performer / musical genius I admire more than Neil Finn. So I had high expectations. And for the most part they were met. They mentioned they'd arrived in Vancouver the night before, and I assume that meant from New Zealand, since this was the first stop on the North American tour. So jet lag probably accounts for the 'loose' part. Energy seemed to be flagging at times, but the sold out room and devoted Vancouver crowd pulled them through it. As usual, their vocals and performance were impeccable - at least, what I could hear of them. I had a great seat in the centre of the orchestra (it's a symphony hall, that's what they call it), and I should have had the best of the sound mix. But that's where the one star gets deducted: the bass drum was louder than all the other instruments combined. It actually hurt my chest; I thought I'd get arhythmia and die. It was also coming through subwoofers that included frequencies so wooly that I couldn't make out a single note Nick Seymour played. The one section of the night when everything sounded good was when drummer Elroy Finn came to the front of the stage and played only a snare and cymbal for a few songs - no bass drum. This was all a huge disappointment to me, but I still gave them 4 out of 5 because none of this was the band's fault, and as I said I worship Neil Finn. I do cut the sound mixer a little slack because he was tucked under the balcony overhang, and probably couldn't hear the bottom end properly. But it's his responsibility to hear what the rest of the room sounds like, and he couldn't have done that. Or, if he really is that in love with massive bottom end, he's mixing the wrong band for the wrong crowd. The concert was still a joy in spite of the mix. That's a testament to how good the band is, and how great Neil Finn's writing is.

Crowded House were brilliant as always. They are the best band to see live. Love the way they interact with the crowd. Rod Laver Arena on the other hand was a huge fail. They sent at least three information emails before hand and that would have been good however all of them gave the start time as 8.50. At 8.20 the announcement came over that the concert was about to start. There was a mad scramble and people were pushing and shoving at the door. We missed most of the first song. At 8.50 loads of people started coming in so obviously they had been misled too. Really poor communication here

Despite the weather, the rain, mud, bogged cars and people- :) we had an absolute ball. Once we were saturated regardless of the protection we had, we thoroughly enjoyed the event. Thank you to Crowded House for persisting and continuing on in the weather (even though they did cut the show short- understandable) Amazing Night/ afternoon- so glad we decided not to park in the parking area as we managed to get back to our accommodation- it was funny to see the cars being towed out the next day as I called past to have a look on the way home. The Waifs, Angus and Julia Stone were great (Didn't see Maestro) Thank Mt Duneed, and the organisers for persisting and not cancelling the show- oh and the free entertainment watching people wallow in the mud- absolute highlight! not sure if the site will be good for the next show in a couple of weeks....

Certainly one of the Best Crowded House concerts I have attended, Neil was at his absolute best, band played all the favourites. Support band Maistrato were something else, Greek music before the main act and then entwined with Crowded House was something else. Crowd was singing along and Neil interacted with the crowd in good fun. Absolute Blast

Crowded house were great. Really rocked after the crowd got up the front and danced. Venue seemed disorganised. The tickets issued showed the wrong door (on the otherside of the venue) and there were heaps of people entering through the one door causing delays. My seat was good but the speakers hanging from the ceiling obscured the view - directly in line with Neil Finn!!! Fortunately there was spare seats we could move to, so we could see everything.

It was a really good concert. The crowd got into it by singing and dancing all night. I was lucky enough to get front row seats but as they allowed a mosh pit up the front of me my view was totally obscured abit annoyed about that as I was squashed in my chair. I have a bad back so couldn't get up much

Tenía pendiente verles y me han parecido muy buenos en directo. Han conseguido rescatar el sonido original de la banda, liderados por Neil Finn y arropados por dos de sus hijos, que han heredado el talento musical del genio neozelandés. En un concierto memorable en medio de un entorno tan propicio como las Noches del Botánico, Crowded House ha interpretado un repertorio en el que no podían faltar algunos de sus Clásicos como “Don’t dream it’s over”, “Weather with you”, “Fall at your feet” o mi favorita, “Distant Sun”, y en el que ha habido hasta un guiño a David Bowie. Era su último concierto de la gira europea y un aforo completo ha sabido recompensar su energía y talento musical en más de 2 horas y media de show.

There’s one thing you always get with Crowded House and that’s an amazing show with quality performances from the individual members of the band. This show was absolutely amazing with lots of fun slotted in between the songs. The crown added to the atmosphere which was just electric. Great to hear Neil Finn hasn’t lost any qualities in his voice as he continues to reach all the notes with such great power. A truly fantastic performance that I’ll never forget. 👌😀

Absolutely fantastic show - the band was terrific, the banter with the crowd fantastic - what a great reminder of how really really good their music is. But I will never go to Centennial again, the logistics were a disaster, 1.5hrs to get in once on Centennial Rd, even with "traffic control" allegedly organising - parking was a joke. We're still in covid world and the bottlenecks to get in were laughable, and even worse on the way out, when larger openings are easily created to help the crowd disperse. Having no plan for the parking, we did not move for 1hr15mins when back in the car, and some poor concert goer took it upon themself to direct the traffic - no-one from the money takers anywhere. Another 15mins to get to the front gate, only to find one direction blocked off and all traffic being funneled one way. This lot couldn't organise a bottle party in a brewery. Never again. I'll get on a plane and go to any other outdoor venue rather than drive to a site which is less than an hour from home.

Great concert & blessed with PERFECT weather: With a sunset 🌅 backdrop of the & twilight settling a FULL moon rise 🌙Gradually the Southern Cross appeared in the evening sky 🌌 & many thousands pounded out the songs of the 1980s - a night enjoyed with my family & lasting treasured memories Thnx 🙏

Crowded House did not disappoint. The show was absolutely spectacular. The band were in fine form! We booked this particular venue as we were keen to see the Teskey Brothers too. They were also amazing. Unfortunately due to extremely poor parking organisation we were left frustratingly close at a standstill for an hour and could only listen to half of their set from our car. Would be reluctant to go to this venue again because of this, which is a shame because with improved parking logistics it would’ve been just perfect.
