DJEFF

Born in Lisbon to an Angolan mother and a Cape Verdean father, DJEFF is a DJ and producer whose sound bridges African roots with forward-thinking electronic music and the legacy of house. His journey began in 1999 at Lisbon’s historic Bauhaus club, where an early fascination with the DJ booth sparked a lifelong dedication to music.

After graduating in Design and Graphic Arts, DJEFF moved to Luanda, Angola, where the city’s cultural energy shaped his early productions. In 2011 he founded Kazukuta Records, Angola’s first electronic-focused label, releasing his debut album Malembe Malembe and creating a platform for emerging talent.

His catalogue includes releases on Spinnin’ Deep, Watergate Records, Deeproot, Klub Records and MoBlack Records alongside his Kazukuta imprint. His music has received global support from influential figures including Pete Tong, Black Coffee and Keinemusik, while also being featured across leading editorial playlists on major streaming platforms.
In 2024 DJEFF launched Odyssey, his own event concept, debuting with major shows in Lisbon and Luanda. He closed 2025 with the release of the Lost Tapes EP and a sold-out Odyssey event in Luanda.

Renowned for his dynamic stage presence and connection with audiences, DJEFF has performed at Tomorrowland, Hï Ibiza, Fabric London, Watergate Berlin, Savaya Bali, Scorpios Mykonos and Black Coffee’s global events.
