Rocky Raccoon “A Celebration of The Beatles” formed in the winter months of 2015 and went to work right away building and crafting their show even while playing extensively ever since. The band worked very hard to build and construct not just a musical experience, but a visual one as well. A show for all ages! For Beatles fan's both young and young at heart. The members of Rocky Raccoon go to special lengths to honor The Beatles legacy of music and "Peace and Love".

Rocky Raccoon features four of Iowa's top-rated musicians and vocalists. Collectively having many years of experience in all genres of music and fields of expertise. Featuring Chris Muhlbauer on rhythm guitar, acoustic guitar, harmonica, and vocals, Tom Murphy on bass guitar, acoustic guitar, and vocals, Doug Calhoun on lead guitar, rhythm guitar, acoustic guitar, and vocals, and Brian Carney on drums, percussion and vocals.

Unlike many Beatles “cover” bands; Rocky Raccoon adds wardrobe changes, guitars, basses, drums and amplifiers that were made famous by The Beatles. All of these things add a very important visual flavor to the show that helps transport people back to the time known as “Beatlemania". Full-out “tribute” acts concentrate more on the visuals and dialect of the individual personalities that in using so much banter it often takes away from the musical side of things.

This is why Rocky Raccoon calls themselves a “Celebration of The Beatles!” The members of Rocky Raccoon take great pride in the extensive catalog of deep album tracks they perform as well as the number one hits that audiences have come to expect.
