Melanie Pfirrman について

Melanie Pfirrman
Melanie Pfirrman
Melanie Pfirrman was born and raised in Southern California, raised by Mexican-American parents both active in the 80’s music scene. Her mother performed as a vocalist in various 80’s dance-club acts and mariachi groups and met Melanie’s father who was a DJ and Producer. Melanie inherited not only her mother’s love for vocals, but also an appreciation for melody, groove, and songwriting, so following high school she joined the music program at Citrus College in Azusa, CA.
After college, Melanie found gig-work as a background singer and soon landed her own record deal with Curb Records which kicked off her artist journey. "I really cut my teeth when I was singing background. It gave me such an understanding of the craft of my vocals and my performance ability”, says Melanie. “I grew up inspired by pop and R&B music from the late-'90s and early-2000s, like Brandy, Monica, Mariah Carey, and JoJo. I've always loved the timelessness of that music and their voices.”
Melanie’s influences shines through in her vocal approach as well as her songwriting. The deeply personal anthem “OKAY” was written as a self-empowerment anthem during Melanie’s own mental health battle with anxiety. “I wrote the song I needed at the time, and it’s magical to see it bloom like this and resonate with people”, she says. “This is why I believe in the power of music”.
