Fantastic gig where Alynda strode the stage with immense presence and delivered son gs from Life on Earth at another level- absolutely stunning!! She engaged with the audience really well and explained the background to her songs which was appreciated by all those there. The band were great and the sound system really delivered her vocals as well as the music in a great mix ! Explosive set of songs, mostly from the latest HFTRR album, so much energy on the stage. From where I stood at the front, the sound mix lost some of Alynda’s wonderful voice, that’s my only criticism. Terrific band, particularly the drummer. And great support from Sister Ray, definitely an artist I want to listen to again. Really nice venue, friendly staff and decent beer at a reasonable price.

They were on their A-game - so great to see live music again and starting with Hurray for the Riff Raff was a reminder of what a great experience live music is.

As always great show! Good to see them again in the Bay Area. Mostly played the new album which has a very different more modern sound than her other albums but still fantastic. I mean with that voice and storytelling you can’t go wrong.

Great show at one of my favorite local venues Terminal West. They played the majority of the setlist from the last 2 albums with the focus on their most recent release. A great all around show!

One of the best shows I've ever seen. Hurray for the Riff Raff supported by Making Movies are both true artists and absolutely amazing groups to watch. Making Movies plays a beautiful Mexicano rendition of Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and collaborated with HFTRR in the show's closer, a never-before-played Bruce Springsteen cover and personal favorite, "Dancing in the Dark." I confessed to Enrique Chi, guitarist and lead singer of Making Movies, that Alynda Segarra of HFTRR, to me, represents a mountain peak of the big soul. He agreed. A brilliant and hopeful night.
