I was getting ready to move back home to Colorado. Wife and son had already moved. I was by myself still working and prepping our house for sale in Hillsboro. I decided to drive to McMenamins and have a beer. I did not know a band was playing. I got out of my car and could hear some chords cranking out from behind one of the buildings. I immediately knew, sight unseen that I really liked the what I was hearing. When I was very young I heard Neil Young's Rust Never Sleeps, Hey Hey on the radio. That is probably the only other time when I have heard the first few chords of a song and loved it, and not to be punny, it struck a chord in my sonic soul. I walked near the stage and loved everything I heard and witnessed. The music, vibe, look, their music feels so good. You can tell they have paid their dues, worked hard and most of all are committed to their music. Every note they play, they play with conviction. You can feel this in a much different level. It punches you in the gut in a good way. The music does all the talking with this band. During their break, I chatted with the Sean and Brian. Just like those first chords I heard, I new out of the gate these guys are authentic and genuine. I have spread the word to everyone I know that loves music about this band. The National Reserve are the real deal. Think of bands, like Crazy Horse, The Band, where the sum of all parts create a magical experience. This band is special. I have loved music my whole life. I have seen it all. Very rarely have I come across a band like this. I can't say enough about them and there is not one bit of doubt they are going to headline some very big venues. These guys did it the right way. Hard work, hard work, hard work and it shows. Once you see them you will be hooked. In another life, I wish I could be their tour bus driver/ gear humper/tour manager/whatever just to see them play. That's how much I love this band. George - [email protected]

The National Reserve について

The National Reserve

For nearly half a decade, The National Reserve has spent Friday nights lighting it up at Brooklyn bars, winning over fans with epic sets and a remarkable breadth of song-craft and showmanship. With their 2018 release on Ramseur Records, Motel La Grange, the band has crafted a rich and raucous collection that instantly places them among Americana’s finest with its force, directness, and performance not unlike some lost recording unearthed from the golden age of 70's rock ‘n’ roll. Founded and fronted by singer-guitarist Sean Walsh, The National Reserve meld gutbucket R&B with New Orleans funk workouts, late night soul, and boozy rock ‘n’ roll to create their own timeless brand of music. The National Reserve is set to bring all the fun and fire of their fervent Friday night sets to the rest of the world, eager to pack as many folks into their late night scene as possible.
