Bleed Someone Dryのツアー

Bleed Someone Dry について

The band Bsd was formed in 2007 from the remnants of a trash metal band in the outskirts of Pistoia, known as "Revolt." With the addition of two new members, Jonathan Mazzeo and Ruben Spizzichino, their musical direction shifted away from traditional metal sounds towards something more extreme and schizophrenic – a sort of math/hardcore fusion reminiscent of bands like Meshuggah, Norma Jean, and Zaø. In the same year, the new lineup released their debut full-length album, "The World Is Falling in Tragedy," through the indie label "UKDIVISION," initiating a live performance circuit that took them to various venues across central and southern Italy.

The subsequent years saw several lineup changes and an extended period dedicated to composing their next album, which saw the light of day in 2012 after the inclusion of Alfeo, Alessio, and Mattia into the band. This new offering from the four "Subjects" was a concentrated blend of anger, nihilism, and oppression, featuring an extreme and rhythmically violent form of metal. This release provided them with opportunities to perform throughout Italy, including a slot at the Exit Festival in Novi Sad (SRB), as well as accompanying the American deathcore band "I Declare War" on their Russian tour as opening act, alongside the Germans, "The Green River Burial."

In the following period, Bsd shifted their focus to writing new material, moving away somewhat from the extreme and almost manic sounds of math metal, and instead, gravitating toward a sound more akin to deathcore bands like Suicide Silence, Thy Art Is Murder, and Job for a Cowboy. In September 2015, they released the album "Postmortem||Veritas" through "Fire Was Born," produced by Christian Donaldson and featuring notable collaborations such as Cj Mchannon (Taim) and Luca T.Mai (Zù). This new work allowed the Tuscan band to showcase their talent in various contexts across Italy and Europe, sharing stages with bands like Cryptopsy, Aversion Crown, Upon a Burning Body, Fit for an Autopsy, Tasters, Hacktivist, The Algorithm, Destrage, Gojira, and more, as well as participating in festivals such as Dissonance Festival (Milan) and Revolution Festival (Timisoara). They also had the opportunity to perform in various cities in Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Belgium.

During this period, Francesco Frullo La Rosa (Extrema) temporarily filled in on drums in place of Alfeo, until Ruben's permanent return to the lineup. The band spent the subsequent months balancing songwriting and live performances, culminating in the release of their fourth album, "Unorthodox," via Wormholedeath Records in March 2019.

This album introduced a new sound characterized by a more prominent electronic element and a modern groove that complemented their signature aggressive and distorted sound. During this time, Niccolò D'Alario also joined as a second guitarist. Following a summer filled with live performances and festivals (including a slot at the 2019 Dissonance Festival alongside Whitechapel, Landmarks, and Frontierer), they embarked on a series of shows in England in December 2019, just before the pandemic brought the world to a standstill for the subsequent two years.

In the summer of 2022, the band resumed their live activities, returning to England for additional shows before taking a year-long break to work on new music set to be released in the coming weeks.
