As fortune would have it, all members of Promise the Moon came to know each other through some combination of mutual acquaintances, happy accidents, and craigslist success stories. Following many years of playing guitar in California and Seattle bands, Brance began making music with Maggie in Portland during the summer of 2013 via her solo project, Maggie Gibson. In February of 2014, the two began co-writing songs as a duo, fanning the flames of slightly-dormant dreams in their heart strings, and setting their sights on the moon (pun definitely intended). With a Californian and a Wisconsin native, this project is an infusion of many stylistic influences and personal backgrounds; a musical meeting of Midwestern heart and West Coast flair.
