Malikai, whose full name is Malikai Amir is a rising superstar rapper, actor, and activist. Born in Los Angeles, California, Malikai's origins also include the Bronx, New York and Atlanta, Georgia. Malikai is known by his fans as the biggest unsigned artist who has gained tremendous success without YouTube and internet exposure. Why? It is because MALIKAI wanted to earn his fan base instead of getting famous from YouTube and Myspace. Despite not starting with YouTube, Malikai has still managed to build an online fan base that many artists could only wish for, with over 300,000 fans on Twitter, over 33,000 fans on Facebook after being hacked, and over 20,000 fans on Google Plus . Even though Malikai didn't start on YouTube he is teaming up with them for his long-awaited YouTube debut. Malikai has become tremendously successful due to his work ethic and fans he calls #Rebelz . After gaining the attention of major labels such as Interscope, Capitol Records, Atlantic, and many others and has founding his own entertainment company called New Rulez!, which is poised to become a leader in the music , film ,sports and Business industries. Malikai is a rising star in film, having performed small parts in ‘What To Expect When You’re Expecting,’ starring Chris Rock and ‘Flight,’ starring Denzel Washington, as well as TV shows, such as ‘Vampire Diaries.’ Malikai also has a documentary in the works, entitled ‘Malikai: Trials of a Youngsta.’ The young rapper also has written several movie scripts that will soon be in production. Malikai Amir works with countless organizations, such as Lupus LA, the World Food Program, and over 300 others. He has also started many organization himself, including a political party in 2012, at the age of 21, called the United Peoples Party (USA); a bi-partisan political party of the people ! Malikai started his own organizations like Malikai'z Kidz which aims to support and mentor at-risk youth in the harshest communities and the Underground Railroad organization that works to help stop human trafficking and sex slavery. Growing up Malikai spent a portion of his childhood homeless. What forced him to cope with his struggles was writing raps and reciting monologues from plays such as, ‘Les Miserables’ and ‘Man of La Mancha.’ His talent in school gained the attention of a representative from the legendary School Juilliard and came to Malikai's high school to witness his acting talent. As a person who grew up in poverty and homeless, Malikai's music is primarily a reflection of his struggle and the struggles that many youth regularly face.
