Defending Cain is a melodic and groove driven heavy alternative rock/metal band from the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. Although relatively new, Defending Cain's members have a combined total of over 30 years worth of shows and touring experience. This new family of musicians who pride themselves on creating a "different breed" of heavy music has members who bring unique musical backgrounds into the mix that help put to rest the preconceived notions of what Rock or Metal should sound like. Blending forceful dynamic vocals, driving guitar riffs, head bobbing drums and a crowd oriented show, Defending Cain is quickly gaining attention around the Tri-State area. Individually, each member of the group has a strong history in the independent and local music scenes....sharing the stage with national acts from every genre including Hatebreed, Flogging Molly, Sevendust, 3 Doors Down, Soulfly, Periphery, 10 Years, Saliva, Dope, Kittie, the Clarks, Chimaira, God Forbid, Kings X, Bret Michaels, Hed PE, P.O.D., Motograter, Ill Nino, Otep, Mushroomhead, the Mayhem Festival (Slipknot, Disturbed) and many more in their past! After releasing their first full length album "ELEMENTS" in April of 2013 (entirely done independant and In-House) , Defending Cain have been catapulted into some of their biggest shows ever as a group or individually with such great festivals already or on the horizon as.... The Ernie Ball stage of the D.C stop on Warped Tour 2013 , Virginia Chili Cook-off , Alliance Music Festival, Summer Jam series at Shiley Acres and sharing those stages and many more with such amazing bands as..... Nonpoint,Chevelle,Red Jumpsuit Apparatus,Sevendust,The Devil Wears Prada,Taproot,Hurt,10 Years,Demon Hunter,Clutch and many more, just to name a few. This year is already shaping up to be a blockbuster and it has became very clear what the band is doing!
