David Kiss is a native New Yorker, DJ, producer, curator, and musician. As a founding member of both the infamous Might Get Weird parties and NYC house collective The Deep, he has swiftly made a name for himself as an intuitive vibe selector. With stints at NYC mainstays such as House Of Yes, Output, and Webster Hall, it seems like he’s everywhere, from late night afters, to the Dominican Republic, Thailand, and AfrikaBurn. David is known for his soulful, eclectic style that always fits the vibe and sets the mood. There is an intention behind his mixing style: "I play for the venue staff…if the bartenders and security are moving, I know I’m doing something right! I strongly believe in fulfilling and violating the expectations of the dance floor. I don’t allow my sets to become formulaic; I love to blend surprises in with familiar sounds and references - whether that be a melodic, rhythmic, or tempo change. I find that these violations of expectations energize the dance floor, and apply this idea to everything I do,” says Kiss. His most recent undertakings include musical direction for the sold-out Ketamine The Musical, sound design for The House Of Yes Christmas Spectacular, and music curator for NYC art collective Kostume Kult and Gratitude Migration Festival.
