Blaze について

1. Blaze were formed in 2000 following the departure of vocalist Blaze Bayley from Iron Maiden. Bayley was joined by four hungry young British musicians, Rob Naylor, Jeff Singer, Steve Wray and John Slater. Blaze released 3 albums with this lineup and toured extensively as headliners in small pubs and clubs and at larger venues in support of power metal bands, Helloween and Savatage. The albums released nod respectfully towards Bayley's past, but at the same time have a modern heavy edge. After recording As Live as it Gets, the bands first live album, Jeff Singer announced he was leaving the band. Three months later Rob Naylor followed. Session musicians Phil Greenhouse [drums] and Wayne Banks [bass] were drafted into the band for the rest of the tour until permanent replacements could be found. Jason Banks [guitar] was drafted in for a few shows at the end of the year to cover for John Slater [guitar]. At the end of 2003 the band began writing for their third studio album, Blood & Belief. Phil Greenhouse was replaced on drums by Jason Bowld. The album proved popular with many fans proving that despite the loss of a stable rhythm section, the band could still put on a good show and record a good album. The band began to tour with the Blood & Belief album but were set back again by the news John Slater could not perform a large section of the tour. Despite rejoining the band later in the year John eventually left B L A Z E in September with Steve Wray going with him to form Rise to Addiction. Now lacking any original members except Blaze Bayley himself, and still yet to find a stable lineup of musicians, the band were forced to start again.
The band performed a number of shows in 2004 and 2005 with the lineup of Blaze, Oliver Palotai, Luca Princiotta, Nick Douglas and Dani Loeble. The two guitarists were eventually kept on as permanent members and songwriters. Things are starting to look positive again for the band despite the loss of Dani Loeble to Helloween early in 2005. Nick Douglas also returned to Doro at this point and the two were replaced by the unknown German duo Daniel Schild and Christian Amman.

In 2007 the band saw another complete line-up change and a change of name, simply to Blaze Bayley.

2. Blaze are an electronica band formed in 1984 in New Jersey, USA.
It was formed by Josh Milan, Kevin Hedge and Chris Herbert, when Herbert introduced Milan, a member of his church choir to Hedge, his childhood friend. Ironically, Herbert was the one who left the band in 1991, leaving Milan and Hedge to keep working together.
Their output consists mainly of house music tracks with heavy gospel, soul and afrobeat influences (sometimes referred to as Gospel house). When the band started, Herbert was the singer, with Milan playing the piano and Hedge working production. After Herbert left, both Hedge and Milan started to share production duties, vocals and playing most of the instruments in their tracks and albums. They achieved notoriety with their remix of Lisa Stansfield's "People Hold On" in 1989, after signing for the Motown label.
Blaze released their first LP, 25 Years Later, in 1990, after which Herbert decided to move to a more R&B-oriented career, while the two remaining members invested in the emerging club culture, opening their own nightclub, Shelter. In 1995, they scored their first big international production success, with De'Lacy's "Hideaway", which was remixed by Deep Dish.
Since then, Blaze has released three more albums, alongside a few scattered compilations of earlier productions and works and countless singles. They also began working with other well-known names such as Little Louie Vega, Barbara Tucker, Jody Watley and Full Intention. They're best known to modern audiences by their singles featuring Palmer Brown on vocals, the oft-remixed "My Beat" and the tribute anthem "I Remember House". Blaze's most recent album, released in 2005, is a mix compilation title, "Found Love" featuring the hit title track, "Found Love" by Blaze.
