Serendipitously, a nomadic smuggler in possession of Poison’s 1986 album, Look What the Cat Dragged In, happened upon Sergei's family home, starving, in search of a bowl of cold beet soup he could pay for only in barter. He got his bowl of soup, and the world got Sergei. Sergei listened to the entire album without breathing, and when it had finished, he sucked in a long breath and then screamed the truest, most beautiful note that had ever been sung. The fireplace in his small cottage shot flames upward, and a cold wind blew the straw door open, laying the entire world at Sergei's pale, hairy, Yugoslavian feet. At that moment, he grabbed his destiny with both hands and shook it like a beggar. The time to act, he knew, was now. He set out across the Earth, searching out those who possessed his same godly talent and unearthly physical beauty. Many perished during these trials. Having both channeled the mysteries of the Universe into their instruments (drums and vocal chords, respectively), the musicians realized that two opposing forces of such magnitude would quite likely reverse the laws of physics, and concluded there was no other choice but to team up for the sake of upholding the dignity of the popular scientific field.
