Within Destruction is an entertainment metal group from Slovenia, formed in 2010. The group has established itself within the deathcore and metalcore genres, known for their intense sound, aggressive style, and the incorporation of electronic elements and anime samples in their music. The thing that sets them apart the most from other bands in the genre is the fact that it’s practically impossible to expect what type of music they will release next.

The band rose to international recognition with their second album VOID which was released in 2016 through Rising Nemesis Records. Their memes, parody music videos and band’s own comments on social media about hating Within Destruction quickly grew a large fanbase of followers who shared the same look on brutal music and scene - it shouldn’t be serious all the time.

Their critically acclaimed third full length album DEATHWISH, which was mixed and mastered by Will Putney quickly became a fan favorite with most known songs like DEATHWISH and Human Defect. The band also did their first European headliner tour in support of this album. This album also brought forward touring opportunities in the United States which was and still is the band’s biggest market. The album was initially released independently with a later re-release through Unique Leader Records.

In 2020 Within Destruction broke the internet with the independent release of YOKAI which divided their entire fanbase and deathcore scene. Nobody expected the band to experiment with electronic elements, metalcore riffs and trap parts. This is their most divisive album to date, some people place it at the top while the others wouldn’t touch it with a stick. The only thing that lovers and haters of the album have in common is highly praising the song Sakura which hosts an amazing solo by Jason Richardson.

Of course Within Destruction being Within Destruction they capitalized on the feedback from YOKAI and independently released a new album titled LOTUS in 2022 which leaned even more in the metalcore direction. The only thing they love more than making music without any restrictions is making fans and metalheads mad. Clean vocals were the main focus of the band on this album since they knew this would again spark an outrage with their listeners.

Within Destruction has carved out a niche in the metal scene with their relentless sound and passionate approach to music. They continue to inspire a new generation of metal enthusiasts while pushing the boundaries of their genre.
