These guys put on an amazing show! Kudos to the band and the owners and crew at Lake Morey for a killer free concert! This is one I won’t forget! I don’t have any pictures because my phone died and even though we had our chairs in the first row we never got back to them to get my wife’s phone because we were dancing the entire time time!

The show was amazing! High energy, great sound, band looked like they were really enjoying themselves! The fans were totally into it which also makes a good show a great one. Set list was terrific! I hope they continue to make new music!!!! Traveled from Boston to see them perform at The Refinery. The venue is top notch. Outside amphitheater - plenty of parking and felt intimate despite being outside. The opening act - Lamont Landers - was outstanding and did one hell of a job getting the crowd energized for The Revivalists. Keep them on your tour!

I went to Fairwell spontaneously after a PTM show in Troutdale, didn’t have a ticket until I got there and after the delay for lightening in the area…saw a great show! They had to move quick to make up time and were so fun to watch and professional as well as terrific clear live sound. It’s the “best thing I almost didn’t do”. Got my cup filled singing and dancing!😁✌️

Always enjoy the Greek. Ease and friendliness of getting in. Cost of tickets if you aren’t able to purchase them in the beginning from the venue have become outrageous unfortunately. And 2 double cocktails (nothing fancy tequila and tonic or Jack and coke) and a bottle water with a tip at $90 is truly high. The Revivalist put on a Superb show and I hope to see them again and again!!!

The Revivalists: 11/4/22 “Somehow The Revivalists crept in to my top 15 all time fave band list, much surprising since all the other 14 go back to the 1960’s or 70’s. I remember the day walking across the hallway at work in 2017 and asking, ‘John, what’s the name of that band that’s playing?’ The answer, ‘The Revivalists’, one of Rolling Stone Magazine’s ’10 Bands You Need To Know’ described as ‘a Crescent City-rhythm spin on jam-band jubilee’. After two failed attempts to see the band LIVE —all blame on Covid— (11/12/20 at Atlanta Speedway and 8/28/21 at Columbia Speedway) an opportunity became a reality. I made the 2.30 hour mid-week drive to Asheville, my first time at Harrah’s 2,400 seat Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, a great venue for the experience. The show was the New Orlean’s based band’s 3rd performance in what was billed as their ‘Fall Tour’ with the original line-up dating back to 2007. Upon entrance and locating my seat row 7 center floor (not a bad seat at al) I took in my view of the stage. The stage featured a full length two-tiered platform with two drum kits (yes, two) on the center higher level. Stage L to R were bass, drums, and keys platformed, with pedal steel, guitar, vocals, and horns below on the main stage. The dual kit’s drumheads both had the design of an eye creating the appearance a pair of eyes piercing out into the audience. The overhead lighting rig was in the shape of a heart with the appearance of long tubed florescent lights hanging around the circumference vertically. There were no video screens or special production, they didn’t need it, the music spoke for itself. At 9:10 the band took the stage for a 1 hour, 50 minute/17 song set featuring elements of blues, folk, country, jazz, and rock. Frontman David Shaw kicked off the evening announcing, ‘How you doing Asheville’. Prior to the show I had boasted to the person sitting next to me, ‘I cheated and saw a copy of the setlist from the Charleston show, it’s gonna be a good un.’ She simply nodded, ‘Which Charleston show, the Tuesday or Wednesday, they’re all gonna all be different’. She was a 100 percent correct, half the songs were different with the balance performed in an entirely different order! Opening with ‘You Said It All’ one of 4 cuts from ‘Men Amongst Mountains’, exactly half the amount they played from the 2015 release on opening evening. Shaw never stoped all evening long traveling back and forth first to the left and then to the right wings of the stage leading singalongs with the audience… ‘Got Love’, ‘" got love, love, love, love’, on ‘Celebration’, it was the ‘na, na, na’s’. On ‘You and I’ David had everyone raising both hands in the air introing the song by saying, ‘This my kind of town, hell ya’ and giving high-fives all the way down the front row, ‘What’s up my man, what’s up big man…’ ‘We’re going to do a little group therapy session, it’s through swift exercise, exercisation of the body, of the muscles, of the legs, of the arms, of the thorax… we’re going to take it down and bring it up!’ On ‘Bulletproof’ he sang through his green bullet mic (a second microphone clipped to his stand similar to a handheld corded CB or police microphone). For the encore, there was a trifecta of ‘Otherside Of Paradise’, ‘Soulflight’, and an extended version of their number one ‘Wish I Knew You’ showcasing the band’s skillset. There were plenty of extended renditions throughout the evening often featuring horns. Ending the evening was a second encore featuring Petty’s ‘Refugee’ once again featuring Shaw’s forceful vocals. ‘‘Good thing we got a night off tomorrow cause I don’t know if I’m going to have anything left after this show you guys are pulling it out of me I love it. That’s what we want, you see that’s the thing, I want to be able to give all. If you guys are giving all you better believe I’m coming with it!’ Notably missing from the set was 2018’s #2 ‘Change’. My wife who didn’t know a single Revivalist song coming in remarked what a great show it was, their diversity being the capstone of the performance. For me, there’s a vast difference between spinning Revivalist wax and actually sitting in a seat (or rather standing as we stood all evening) and taking it all in, it was well worth my relentless quest to finally see the band LIVE! The only thing that could have made things better was it was a just a tad too loud to capture the exquisite details of each individual’s musicianship. I’m not sure if it was the seat or the venue, a small price to pay for this concert lover’s experience. Paris Jackson, yes the model and Michael Jackson’s Paris, (alternative folk) took the stage first opening with a thirty-five minute/8 song set with a three-piece band backing her. ‘Thank you for coming early, this is my first time in North Carolina, only my second tour ever.’ A grunge-bent cover of Blind Melon’s ’No Rain’ was no doubt the highlight of her performance!” Review and photo by DAve (Concert #724)

I was very excited to see The Revivalists for the first time. I have mixed feelings about the show. LOVED all their fantastic jams and the horn solos and when David Shaw played and sang. I did not care for the, in my opinion, Fitz and The Tantrums want to be part of the show. Too poppy at times and the interaction with the crowd, trying to get the crowd to participate was clunky to me. I know they were appreciative of the crowd. Trust me, I was dancing my b**t off. I would see then again but I hope the band sticks to being the fantastic musicians and continue to sing and jam without as much David Shaw bouncing around. I love his voice !

Great performance, sadly the sound was off as the guitar was too loud and drowned out the horns when both were going. It was a cool venue even with the uneven ground which complicated dancing. It was awesome that the band members were able to walk down from the stage and engage with the audience so closely. If not for the slope and sound imbalance it would have been perfect. Can't wait to see them again in DC this November! If anyone in the band reads this please work Amber into that setlist as it's my fiancee's favorite song by you guys!

I’ve seen The Revivalists 15-20 times over the years. This concert was a disappointment mainly because the energy wasn’t there (relative to the other concerts I’ve attended - which is a high bar). Maybe because they just came from Mardi Gras or because of the crowd? The people around us seemed not to know their music and were generally unappreciative. The best venue to see The Revivalists is a festival setting. They feed off the audience and they didn’t get a great audience at The Anthem. Btw, I love The Anthem. I just don’t think that it brings out David and Zach’s best.

The Revivalists were great as always. I don't understand why only a 30 minute set and the sound was brutal. Turn down the bass drum. You didn't do the artists any justice. Too bad, you had a chance to have a great festival as the other services were top notch

They were AMAZING! Unfortunately they weren’t the headliner and weren’t allowed to do “one more song” :( My heart was SO full seeing them! I missed them last year at N.O. Saenger Theater after having tickets and ready to go, last minute wasn’t able to go! :( Can’t wait to see a full concert ❤️❤️

After a somewhat tame Manchester show the guys brought all the energy, excitement, showmanship and exceptional instrumentation that makes them one of the greatest live bands out there. The setlist was strong and featured a great selection of their repertoire. The venue is iconic, with many greats from the 1940’s through today having performed there. The band got the crowd rocking right from the start and then really blew the roof off by encoring with the Clash “Should I Stay or Should I Go”. Definitely a 5 star plus show.

This was an exceptional Revivalists show! Energy, setlist, crowd, venue all these elements came together and you could tell the guys fed off and brought their best performance. Paradiso Noord is a 550 capacity club with great sound and viewing from throughout the venue. Friends, family and fun night 🎼💜

The opening night of Eurotour was met with great anticipation and excitement by both traveling and local Revheads (and new fans). Having experienced the rest of the tour this show fell flat in comparison. Very short setlist and the show lacked the raw, rocking energy us long time fans have become used to experiencing every time the guys take the stage. Fortunately the following three shows ROCKED!!!

What an amazing finale to a great and intimate Revivalists Eurotour. The Rotonde (capacity 250) is an interesting small circular venue with a relatively large stage so David and the guys could romp, jump and rock all they wanted. The the guys came with serious energy and a fun setlist.

I’ve seen these guys 8 times now and this was easily my least favorite set. They have so many great songs but on NYE they decided to play all of their new album that just doesn’t have the energy and hits that previous albums have. Crowd wasn’t that into it and you could tell David Shaw was trying to audible mid set but it didn’t seem to work. Hopefully they incorporate more of their old jams into future sets bc this new album hasn’t produced the hits that men amongst mountains and vital signs did. Still love the Revivalists!

Home town show on New Years could have been better. They now have a bunch of great songs to play longer sets and didn’t play hardly any old tracks. They have the material to play at least 3 hours not to mention their fantastic overs. Prior years were more energetic and charismatic. The sound was spectacular yet it was hard to see with the low stage and lights...still one of my favorite bands, just have to “keep going”!!
