Zwaremachine (USA)

Zwaremachine embodies the provocative sights and sounds of second wave industrial music with a clear focus on classic sounds and modern production.

Zwaremachine hails from Minneapolis, MN. USA and merges industrial, dark electro and ebm music with a nod to bands like Skinny Puppy, FLA, Ministry and Front 242. Zwaremachine presents a threatening vision of the future with a combination of menacing vocals, danceable beats, driving bass guitar and electronics. Thoroughly deranged, Zwaremachine will trash your sense of disbelief a minute into the first song and continue to do so all the way through.

The core of the band is founding member Mach Fox on vocals and Dbot on bass guitar, and with the recent addition of Dutch musicians Paul K and Marshal B the band has embraced an electro-industrial rock sound while still keeping their dark electro and EBM roots.

Some of our personal highlights: On September 8th 2023 we were the support act for Front 242 (BE) and we played at The Downhill festival with Portion Control (UK) January 26, 2019.

PRESS:
"This release(Actions & Forces) marks the first appearance of new Dutch band members Paul K and Marshal B, who have recently joined the lineup. Zwaremachine is the brainchild of Minneapolis-based artist Mach Fox. Established in 2011, Zwaremachine quickly carved out a niche within the dark electro and EBM scenes, known for their intense live performances and quality releases. The core of Zwaremachine has always been Mach Fox, a visionary artist whose work encompasses not only music but also visual art and multimedia performances. Over the years, the lineup has evolved, with bassist Dbot joining to add depth to the band’s sound." - Bernard Van Isacker, Chief Editor of Side-Line Magazine

"Zwaremachine returns, bringing with it a dark electro that unfolds like a shadow over the horizon of the future. Their vision, charged with a disturbing prescience, dismantles our disbelief from the first bars, guiding us on a sonic journey that will not let us go until the last chord. 'Actions & Forces', their most recent single, is a sonic manifestation of the struggle between the machine and its constant evolution. It is a song to the repetition of mechanical movements, where each note resonates with the intention of reconstruction and inevitable self-repair. Here, music becomes a ritual, a process of incessant transformation, where the mechanical meets the human in a perpetual cycle of destruction and rebirth." - Electro Emotions
