Originating from Rennes and now based in Nantes, ATOEM is an electronic duo formed by Antoine Talon and Gabriel Renault. Their hybrid universe blends modular synthesizers, hypnotic rhythms, and psychedelic heritage, in an aesthetic at the crossroads of techno, new wave, and progressive rock. Revealed at the Trans Musicales de Rennes in 2018 and later featured at Les Vieilles Charrues, Solidays, and Le Printemps de Bourges, they stand out with immersive live performances where the machines seem to come alive. After several acclaimed EPs, they released their debut album, Entropy, in 2023 — a conceptual journey between order and chaos that cements their unique place in the French electronic scene.
