Formed in San Francisco in late 2022, The Lighting Section is never satisfied to stick to one genre for too long, recently offering a one-two punch of singles that travel from indie to shoegaze to darkwave to alternative, all in ten and a half minutes. Their debut EP “Put a Quarter in the Washing Machine” continues the musical whiplash while maintaining their affinity for dissonance and harmony-laden 90’s flair.
