RONKER is not the first state-of-the-art speednoise band to ever exist, but they are the first to coin the term. Formed in the Belgian swamplands in 2020, the band arrived screaming bloody murder and is now hailed as one of the fastest-rising acts in the country’s thriving heavy music scene. Looking like a bunch of mustachioed cloned firefighters, the band often draws comparisons to the Ramones due to its uniformity. That being said, RONKER sounds nothing like a band who would bow down to conformity. Take a dash of noise-rock, splash in a healthy amount of hardcore riffage and top it off with some 90’s emo and you’ve got an indication of RONKER’s sonic assault.

Their 2024 debut, ‘Fear Is a Funny Thing, Now Smile Like a Big Boy’, was a critical hit, praised for testing the limits of standard-tuned guitars while remaining hooky. It launched the band to festivals like Hellfest, 2000Trees, and Pukkelpop, and secured support slots for Show Me The Body, The Melvins, Sparta, and Brutus.

RONKER doesn’t believe in the “difficult second album.” They strike while the iron is hot. On sophomore LP ‘Respect The Hustle, I Won’t Be Your Dog Forever’, the band sounds more ambitious than ever. Further cementing their position as one of the quirkiest and most eclectic noise bands in Europe. Tackling the hustle-culture with a concept-album that is equally emotional as maximalist: anything goes. These antics culminated in critical acclaim with the album being hailed as a step-up from its predecessor in every way. Kerrang praised the genre blending in a four-star review while, Metal Hammer UK emphasized how angry and furious the record was: “Pure rage… there’s an air of early IDLES, but with an added heft and fury that is pure joy to behold.”

The band started the campaign in support of ‘Respect The Hustle, I Won’t Be Your Dog Forever’ with a sold-out show at the legendary Ancienne Belgique. The gig being pure mayhem also marked their biggest headline-show to date.

RONKER is gearing up for a massive 2026, kicking off with a European Spring tour hitting Alcatraz, Dynamo, Arctangent and Das Fest.
