Dropdead Chaos is a French alternative metal band born from a solidarity initiative during the first COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. Initially conceived as a remote collective to support healthcare workers, the project brings together musicians from renowned bands (Black Bomb A, Trepalium, Sirenia, Betraying the Martyrs).

Driven by the success of their first singles and a notable performance at Hellfest 2022, the collective transformed into a full-fledged band. In 2023, they released their debut album, Underneath The Sound, a resilient work exploring the traumas of the pandemic. Their style is rich and modern, merging 2000s nu-metal with various influences (black, power, atmospheric metal).

Following the departure of founding member Déhà in 2024 for health reasons, the band continues its evolution as a sextet. With the EP This Is Not The Beginning and the single Unpredictable, Dropdead Chaos confirms its major position in the French-speaking metal scene.
