What a fabulous afternoon and evening! While it was great to be surrounded by so many excited parrotheads ready to set sail today on the Norwegian Joy, the best part of the afternoon was the stage time with Monallo and Alan JAX Bowers. We are long-time fans of Monallo, and yesterday, he was playing, almost literally, in our backyard. We live five blocks from the Radisson. We were there from set-up to tear-down of the stage, and Monallo and Jax were constantly surrounded by fans, new and veteran. Not only did Monallo share all of our favorites, but he graced us with a few new songs from his upcoming CD, Moon and Machine. He was, also, joined onstage by several of the other Trop Rock artists that will be performing on the cruise for the next seven days. That was truly a treat! While the weather seemed to be confused as to the season, when the sun came out and the wind died down, Monallo's music was flowing through the Radisson pool deck. All in all, it was wonderful. Monallo has added some modified Jimmy Buffett covers to his setlist, and he was, absolutely, on point. His storytelling songs lock in his fans, and the rhythm Jax Bowers brings to the stage kept everyone enthralled.

Monallo and Anthony were excellent! What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon! We were able to hear Monallo's newest song, Moonlight, and originals from both Monallo and Anthony. We even were treated to some Jimmy Buffett. RockPit is our PHavorite spot for parrothead artists. Sean, Chris, and Tammy make everyone feel welcome, and their libations are top-notch.

Songwriter, former environmental scientist, amateur beach bum, aspiring boat captain, award-winning musician.

After a near fatal car accident at age 16, monallo picked up a guitar and began writing songs. He played in various bands over the next few years until losing his voice completely at 23. Not sure if he would be able to sing or even talk well going forward, monallo put it all on the line after the ensuing vocal cord surgery and began writing, recording and touring more than ever before.

Inspired by real-life experiences and the world that surrounds us all, monallo's warm sound, vivid imagery and organic style produces songs that are both true to the heart and easy to listen to. Some are lighthearted, some are heartfelt, but they each set a relaxing, down-to-earth tone that we can all enjoy.

Listeners describe his live performances as “authentic” and “genuine”. In 2024 monallo won the TRMA Horizon Award, given to an up and coming artist in recognition of their promise in songwriting and performing.

monallo's third EP "Songs from the Sand" was released July 2024 and is available wherever you listen to music.

monallo has been partnered with the "Plastic Ocean Project" since summer 2017. This group is dedicated to the removal and reduction of plastic pollution in the oceans. A percentage of proceeds from all shows and album sales are donated to POP.
