The Youngers

Hailing from Pennsylvania, The Youngers are an indie rock band rooted in classic American songwriting, blending harmony vocals, guitar-driven arrangements, and timeless storytelling with a modern alternative edge. Formed in 1999, the band is now celebrating more than 26 years of making music together.

Their 2022 album Nashville Again climbed to #2 on the Roots Rock Chart and spent four months on the Americana Chart, helping lead to a standout appearance at MerleFest 2023.

Their latest album, Dreaming (2026), was recorded at Wilco’s legendary Loft studio in Chicago and produced and engineered by Tom Schick (Wilco, Mavis Staples). The record expands the band’s sound with lush harmonies, cinematic textures, and a confident indie rock focus while honoring classic American influences like Tom Petty, The Byrds, and Bob Dylan.

The Youngers have performed at MerleFest, DelFest, Musikfest, and Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble, sharing stages with artists including Levon Helm, Marty Stuart, Wayne Hancock, Lee Rocker, and Billy Bob Thornton & The Boxmasters.

Known for their harmony-rich performances and wide instrumental palette—featuring lap steel, mandolin, upright bass, baritone, twelve-string, and six-string guitars—The Youngers deliver live shows that are both dynamic and deeply rooted in the traditions of American rock and songwriting.
