Athenkosi Siyavuya Jodwana, commonly known as Syva Jay is a South African Hip Hop Artist/Producer, Based in East London Eastern Cape.
Athenkosi was born and bred in the East London township, Mdantsane. This is also one of the biggest townships in South Africa. His love for music came about in grade 6 (2011), when he was 10 years old. He would watch his seniors who knew how to rap battle each other and this seem like a great way to fit in and be noticed. He then started writing poetry because he wasn't as hardcore as the other rappers.
