Strangelove-The DEPECHE MODE Experience

Great show. I've seen Stranglove twice now and both times were amazing. The venue had decently priced drinks, bathrooms were clean and the sound system was good for the DJ set. When the opener and main show came on the sound system went downhill from there. I noticed "Dave" have a few words with the mixer guy during songs and he looked pissed off but handled it very well. If the sound system or mixer was adjusted/calibrated it would be a five (5) star.

As far as tribute bands go, Strangelove and Lovesong are top tier. This is the closest you'll get to the actual bands. They both bring out all the hits and do both bands total justice. 10 out of 10 recommend. It's a not miss show

Was blown away on everything. I think the band is great. Probably need a little less effort on the dancing and showmanship. I thought the singing was on queue. if anyone closes their eyes they would think at an actual Depeche Mode concert.

I recommended Strangelove to Ron Onesti. I saw Strangelove last night at The Des Plaines Theater. This makes about 5 times now that I've had the pleasure. I'm a big fan of Depeche Mode and have seen them several times over the years. Strangelove could take over for Depeche Mode. And, if the audience were blindfolded, they are Depeche Mode spot on. I highly recommend.

Two amazing tribute bands each having their own professional talent to make it on their own. I loved seeing their dedication to Depeche mode, New Order and Joy division! And I'm not the only one.. these two amazing tribute bands brought out the local community from Seattle to Stanwood. @APEX - Please keep bringing these great artists to town.

electric duke was so on point i had to watch closely to see it wasn’t lip synch!! sounded just like bowie in both speech & song. amazing. strangelove was sooo good too!!! my expectations weren’t high. i’ve seen a few DM tribute bands - won’t name any names - but, BUT!!! these guys were shockingly great!! ‘dave’ may have actually been more energetic than daddy dave, which what?!? i could close my eyes (i did, multiple times!!) & was back at a DM show.. the baritone was deep & growly-rumbling & DAMN if he didn’t look like he could be gahan’s junior!! ‘martin’ did truly have the voice of an angel ;) and was an laudable musician. ‘alan’ was a whole vibe!! great stage presence!! drummer was WOW. a real rock star. they’re in to europe next.. i’ll be watching for their return. such a fun show. 🫶

I didn't like them as much as I thought I would. I love Depeche Mode, but the lead singer turned me off in a big way. It looked like he was trying to be Freddie Mercury more than David Gahan, and I didn't like his stage antics. Stop the crotch grabbing and hip thrusts, please!

I'm giving it 3 stars because Strangelove killed it! The venue was nice and intimate, which i really liked. Venue parking was easily accessible and next to the venue. Lovesong, The Cure cover band, was excellent. I've seen The Cure live before, and they did every song justice. Rusty's vocals were amazing as well as his rhythm and lead guitar playing! Super nice guy as well. Strangelove was a disappointment for me for a couple of reasons. The first is there was really no low end (bass) in the music so it felt like there was always something lacking in their songs the entire night. The second reason it was disappointing is Depeche Mode is an electronic band, but Strangelove somehow thought that by adding a live drummer would enhance the music. I really thought it was a distraction rather than an enhancement because of the sound Depeche Mode is known for was being drowned out. My wife and I left early because these reasons. I'd pay to see Lovesong again, but not Strangelove. Strangelove needs to reevaluate how they want to present another band's music they are covering. Specifically the sound issues need fixed, and they don't really need a drummer smashing over the melodies (no matter if he played in Berlin).

2nd time seeing them. They are simply fabulous! A MUST see show. Stupid Girl Tribute Band for Garbage is good, too. SALERNO pizza at the piazza is very good, especially the thin crust. Prices are decent on food and beverages. The Piazza is a very nice venue.

Overall, another great show! Just a few suggestions…don’t bash another artist! You may not like Taylor Swift but there are many of us who do! Please try not to look bored a the end of the evening, “Dave” seemed very uninterested in the 2nd 1/2 of the show!! Still, so glad you came back and would certainly come again.

LOVED this show! First time at this venue but not the first time seeing the band! Amazing sound, energy and you feel like you are seeing DM! I sang and danced through every sone! It was over too soon! I will be seeing them again, in fact already have tickets to upcoming shows! YOU MUST GO SEE THEM!

Fantastic! This band really did a wonderful job with the songs and the whole act! Great style and simply the best tribute band I have ever seen! My wife and I sang and danced the whole time! Loved it!

If you close your eyes it is extremely hard to tell the difference between DM & Strange Love They are always a pleasure to visit with after the show they stay till the very last man has asked their last question they never rush you or Usher you out they truly love their fans their fans mean everything, if they're within even a state driving distance for you make the trip you'll never regret it I give them 10 Stars if I could

This is the 3rd time I went to their concert, however, this is the 1st time I have been to Downey Theater. I would go again to this location for Gaslamp was a little too crowded. Previously, I went to Depeche Mode at Madison Square Garden and oh boys, I decide to stick with Strange love concerts instead. They are much more "Depeche Mode" than the "real" band with all 4 band members. When are they coming to the Hollywood Bowl?

I’ve seen other Depeche Mode tribute bands and Strangelove is the best one. The voices and dance moves are on point. Dave Grahan is not easy to impersonate but he did a really good job! I will see them again!

Stranglelove never disappoints. Their energy and commitment to creating a true Depeche Mode experience is always a pleasure to watch. Last Friday night was my *fifth* time to see the band but first time to visit The Echo Lounge. I must say I was impressed with the venue. It felt intimate but not confined. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I can enthusiastically recommend both Strangelove and The Echo Lounge!

The venue, The Piazza was great. Nice to have a venue like that closer to home than always going into the City. Strangelove does a great job capturing the whole Depech Mode experience. My second time seeing them and had a great time.

Great show! The band had great energy and great attention to detail. It was apparent the band has studied DM's music and mannerisms extensively and thoroughly enjoy performing. Could not ask for a better experience--they nailed it!

This band is the real deal. Great sound, stage presence and it’s as close as you can get to a Depeche Mode concert. I saw them on the 80’s cruise and was blown away so I was excited to see they were coming to my city. Not disappointed. Thanks guys!

Wow, I’ve seen these guys so many times. They are true representatives of our beloved Depeche Mode. It was fun to see them at an intimate, small venue. The drink lines were horrific, but the music was loud and AMAZING. Enjoy the silence….
