Devonshire based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Matthew Gordon Price (MGP) is known for his honest and heartfelt performances. He provides a raw emotional narrative and warming acoustic melodies drawing comparisons to Damien Rice, Marcus Mumford and Glen Hansard.

“Both my parents inspired my love for music from a young age…listening to artists such as, The Beatles, The Kinks, Queen and Marc Bolan. At 11 my parents brought me my first guitar, which certainly changed my life…”

Born in 1992 and writing since he was 15, MGP has developed his musical abilities, which allowed him to collaborate with other South West musicians, including: Chris Linton (Lead Guitar); Jamie Yost (Bass); Drakes Island (Drums); The Busketeers (Cajon/Guitar/Vocals); Lanky And The Beard (Producer/Songwriter).

Since graduating from Plymouth University in 2014 (Business Studies), MGP has put his degree to use by helping to manage up & coming southwest talent. In 2018 he co-founded a management company called MPM Management where he helps book gigs/festivals for artists.

MGP has also performed on multiple occasions for BBC Introducing, including 5 different ‘Live in Sessions’ (Devon & Cornwall) which included: ‘The Element’ (Lanky and the Beard) which ended up as upload of the week (UOTW).

Matthew’s second physical release is a ‘Deluxe’ version of ‘Rivalry’, released on 30th March 2018. The bonus version includes tracks such as ‘Vixen Queen’, ‘Sorry I Let You Down’ and the 156,000 streaming hit single ‘Vos’ [Apeiron/Spotify].
