Crammed in like sardines in a can but that's Blue Note! The show was nothing less than amazing. Drove 2 1/2 hours each way and well worth it! Everyone was in fine form for this historic occasion.

The show was part of a three week artist in residence for Michael League, bassist and founder of Snarky Puppy. The "band" comprised League, Wayne Krantz on guitar, Rachel Eckroth on keyboards, and Mark Giuliana and Nate Wood on drums. League conceded that they had not played together before the show and the performace came off like it was a jam session with minimal melodies and extended improvisations. That would have been fine if the players could improvise, but it was clear to me that Wayne Krantz was head and shoulders above the rest. He is a truly special guitarist and he is always surprising with odd notes and runs. A fine concert making me want to see more of Wayne Krantz live.

Show started late, but that gave me a chance to say hello to Wayne and Keith. Not likely to see musicians of this caliber and be less than 10' away. With I could have caught the 2nd Set. JC

Wayne Krantz was amazing along with Keith Carlock on drums and Tim Lefebvre on bass.
