Rick Lee James is a singer/songwriter, author, hospital chaplain, and host of the Voices In My
Head podcast, featuring conversations with artists, authors, and cultural voices. His music
blends Christian faith, Americana, folk, and thoughtful storytelling, exploring themes of grace,
hope, suffering, and redemption. In addition to his own recordings, James recently contributed
electric guitar to “Guitar Tree” from Antonio Vergara’s Grammy-nominated album The Fury. He
serves as a full-time chaplain at Springfield Regional Medical Center in Springfield, Ohio, where
music and spiritual care continue to shape both his ministry and songwriting.
