Lee Taylor, aka Distopia Musik, has been a performing artist since the age of 8, and a musician and producer since the age of 16. By the age of 23 Lee had produced 2 rap/hip hop albums that landed him on tour with Nappy Roots in the summer of 2008. After attending several music festivals Lee was greatly inspired and took his music in a different direction. His love for EDM, live electronica, and live music is what has created Distopia. Lee’s debut EP “Enter Change” is a collection of pieces that have been in the works since 2012. The EP offers a depth of outer space synths and melodies with bold drum tracks and direct bass lines. Lee is really trying to do something different in the Electronica realm. With EDM turning a lot of live music goers off, Distopia is trying to re-insert the live feel that electronica was originated on. Since its inception in 2012 Distopia has had the privilege of sharing the stage with Dopapod, The Mantras, Consider The Source, Funk You, Ghost Owl (formally Perputual Groove) Kilowatts, Ployd, Arpetrio, Submerse, Dank Sinatra, Sumilan, The Agobi Project, Jeff Bujak, Futexture, Uprise, and many more local acts from Atlanta and Athens. Lee personally has played 250+ shows and is no stranger to large crowds and or putting on a performance. Distopia is set to release a new EP “#Secretstash” on1.01.2017. This EP is a whole new feel for Distopia as it blends EDM with a great deal of instrumentation. It also pulls all of Lee’s influences such as Pretty Lights, Big Gigantic, STS9, his love for keyboards, and live music.
