Charlie J Memphis について

Memphis made his Texas debut in 2018 releasing his first single produced by Jaret Reddick, called “Move Along”. Just as Move Along was released Memphis went back into studio to work on his debut EP, “Bloody is the Water,” with producer John Pedigo at Modern Electric Sound Recorders in Dallas. Pedigo and Memphis teamed up again late in the year to record and release another the original, “Fairy Tales”.

2019 proved to be busier than the previous as he started interning at The Echo Labs studio under Matt Pence as well as actively playing out multiple times a week. “Trophy Wife” became Memphis third recorded single, written by John Paul Smith of the Coal Creek Boys. Soon after joining Vincent Neil Emerson on Bass Guitar in August on their West Coast Tour and many other tours until the Spring of 2020 when COVID shutdown the entertainment industry. After the world was shut in, Memphis went back into The Echo Labs studio to record 10 new songs with Paul Cauthen and Matt Pence as producers of the session. “Learning to Cry” by Justin Townes Earl was recorded during this time as Memphis fourth single, produced by Sam Culp. He also contributed on bass to music projects for singers Dakota Smith, South Texas Tweak and David Miner’s album called Silver Valley.

Fast forward to now, you’ll find Memphis sitting on one of the best albums you’ve ever heard. Running a feed store in a small town in North Fort Worth Texas, singing to the chickens, and writing for the next album in hopes they will both see the light on stage.
