Visiting Montreal on holiday and wanted to find a gig to go. Went through the artists playing on the Saturday on the app and these stood out, so decided to grab a ticket. Best decision I've ever made, as it turned out to be one of the best gigs I've ever been too. Will be grabbing a ticket for one of their UK shows next year

Incredible. I just wanted them to play all night. Jace and Olga sounded on f*****g point. And was just a great gig to witness. Unfortunately, likely due to Cindy Lee performing a few miles away, as it seems she might've siphoned off the regular hipster types that would normally see The Besnard Lakes live ( tbf, I am NOT a Hipster, just super cool). As Lee's was sparse, it made me and my best friend concerned for the future of live music and new Bands in the future. A legendary Canadian ( Montreal) Band with maybe 75-90 patrons at a their show??? In their home Country? it was nice in a way, hear me out, as it was intimate and we were able to get up close, and as two 48 yr -olds with Stamina issues, we shimmed ourselves up to an opening for a railing to lean on; a railing with a spot for you to put down my tasty beverage down while I filmed and took photo's. But the I had a 12mg Zyn in my mouth along side 6 beer, 3 that was ex post facto, 40mg of Edibles + Three hails off of a a saaaaweeet Tribal THC Vape. The strong nicotine basically holding me upright along side the railing for the gig. Anyways. Underrated. Should of been more people, but Bands and artists just are not making much $, with the destruction of regular social behaviors due to COVID and it's reckless lockdown that influenced many who used to always go out on the town, and now, avoid any social gathering, other than drinking by themselves. And I fear we won't have much up and coming bands/artists; and live music will be shite. The band GEESE are refreshing and hope to prove me wrong, but I just think they are an exception to the rule. As, for me, years 1995-2007 were the peak of live bands. They were always packed. Anyways, Besnard Lakes, November 6 2025, a Gig To Remember. 5 Sonic Stars out of 5 - Benway

They were great - shame the crowd was so quiet. They are 100% able to pull off all the sonic trickery of their albums, and are an underappreciated Canadian treasure. Can't blame them for not doing an encore - between the quiet crowd and the fact that they have to walk thru the crowd to get to the green room (?!?) ... They even gave the Crazy Train 'heckle' some serious consideration. Thanks for the show, team!

I was there and it was a fantastic show!!

Even with them setting off the smoke alarm with the fog machine, they played over it and the show was incredible. Friends I invited who were not familiar with them were blown away. Can’t wait to see them again.

Amazing night.

The opening band, Pink Pollen, were good but painfully loud. Blessed and The Besnard Lakes were awesome, better life than on record. Old Nick’s is a good spot. I enjoyed my drinks and the service was polite.

Besnard Lakes were fantastic. Really great show- sounded incredible.

Been my fav group for about 10 years now and travelled miles to see them. Yes In Manc was a brilliant gig, loved every minute. Just a shame they've gone under the radar of most people, but I think they're brilliant. Beach Boys type harmony at times with growling guitar solos, smoke and feedback. As psychedelic as it gets.
