Ian Koren is Reckless Escapades, a hip-hop artist / producer from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Reckless Escapades was born in 2015, with the creation of a SoundCloud page and with an upload of the song A Roaming Beggar. The next couple years were quiet for Reckless Escapades as he only released a handful on demos on SoundCloud but things would soon change in the year 2018. In November of 2018, his single Down on My Luck was featured on Spotify’s editorial playlists Beats & Rhymes and New Music Friday Malaysia. The success of “Down on My Luck” (over 97,000 streams on Spotify) encouraged Reckless to release new music often, sometimes dropping two new singles in a month. Reckless is no stranger to the stage and has performed at festivals like Too Saucy @ Tempatan Fest 2018, Urbanscapes 2019 and Jameson Block Party KL 2019.
Reckless Escapades was selected as Hitz FM's Homegrown Artist Of The Month for May 2020. Reckless is gearing up to release a couple of EPs in the second half of 2020, one of those projects is a collaboration with his wife Maruxa Lynd
