Laboratorium Pieśni / Song Laboratory について

Laboratorium Pieśni / Song Laboratory
Laboratorium Pieśni / Song Laboratory (world / mystic folk / medicine / spiritual music) is a female ensemble from Poland.
Using traditional, a capella singing, the group is performing traditional polyphonic songs from around the world—Slavic, Balkan, Georgian, Native American, and many others – arranged with shamanic drums and other ethnic instruments such as shruti box, flutes and rattles. The songs performed by the ensemble combine ancient tradition with polyphonic improvisation, intimate sounds and harmony with the wild expression of raw voices in intuitive compositions, often inspired by nature and paratheatrical elements.
The traditional songs are often brought from their source – different regions of Poland, Europe and world, by the members of the group – having their unique history and evolving in the course of work. Finally, they are performed in a new form – traditional or enriched.
The ensemble has performed and conducted workshops in over 20 countries around the World. The music video of Laboratorium Pieśni with traditional song "Sztoj pa moru" has reached over 17 million views on Youtube, where they have over 200.000 subscribers. The ensemble is followed by more than 160.000 fans on Facebook and over 50.000 on Instagram.
Two albums of the group: "Rasti" and "Hé oyáte" where nominated to most important music award in Poland – the Fryderyk Award, in the category of world/root music.
Laboratorium Pieśni collaborated with Polish valued and known musicians, for example participated in music recordings composed by Łukasz L.U.C. Rostkowski to a painted film “The Peasants” – Polish candidate to Oscar award; music recordings and concert tour for new album by Miuosh x Zespół “Śląsk” – “Pieśni Współczesne. Tom II”.
