Cincinnati, Ohio area electronic artist Nathaniel David Lane, AKA redkattseven/redkatt7/RK7 has been laying down pounding techno beats, experimental electronics, dub & ambient soundscapes, all while exploring the lower end of midwestern subwoofers since 2006. Techno, experimental & early hints of dubstep are to be found on the first redkattseven release, 2009's The Blue Dog.

The Red Moon Rising album followed in 2010 with a much heavier focus on basslines & techno fused with dubstep. Redkatt's sound went interstellar with 2011's A Stream Of Stars, a collection of dubby techno, & spacey dubstep aiming to leave this world behind. The 2012 Les Poissons EP further explored the ambient side of Lane's early work, with outtakes & alternate versions of 3 songs from The Blue Dog LP.

2013 saw the release of the compilation album Selected Works Twothousand06-Twothousand12 featuring tracks off the first 3 redkattseven albums, the live tech-house album The Colorist Upstream recorded at The Cincinnati Art Academy & a live techno album recorded at the Midpoint Music Festival.

2018 saw redkattseven return to the studio, leading to the release of A Septenium of Eratta: 2006-2013 & Selected Ambient Works: 2006-2018. 2020 saw the two most diverse redkattseven albums released yet, the Redémarré and Enfer albums, and the release of the SASA Works and COVID-20X20 series of ambient albums.
