Sudden Lights plays a combination of pop rock with slight indie touches. Band’s music is characterized by catchy melodies perfect for dancing with a melancholic note or two along the way, and it all permeates with youthful energy.
2023 was the most successful year so far. Sudden Lights was one of the most sought after artists in Latvia with many live shows, represented Latvia in Eurovision and was one of the most streamed artists in Latvia. Their album “Miljards vasaru” received 5 nominations for Latvian Music Awards, including Best Pop Album, Best Album Design and Best Concert Video. Their song “Laternas” won the 2nd place in Latvian Radio annual competition.
In September 2023, the band gathered 3500 people in their first outdoor show in Riga, Mežaparks Green Theatre. Later, the concertfilm was released with a cinema tour all over Latvia and received Zelta mikrofons as the best concert video in 2023.
At the end of 2023, the band was invited by Latvian Radio to create the anthem for their annual charity event “Dod pieci”, and the song “Adata un diegs” together with rapper Gustavo was created.
Touring all over the Baltics, Poland and UK, the band is currently preparing their fourth studio album.
