John's Herbert Constant (born October 29, 1990), better known by his stage name Atis Constant, is a Haitian singer-songwriter, he was nationally recognized following his three participations in a television singing competition called "Digicel Stars ", broadcast on channel 8, the national television of Haiti.
2 years later, Constant won the 2nd place of the international singing competition "Prix Découvertes RFI 2016" with his first album entitled "Mizik Se Medikaman'm", this contest organized by Radio France International is an opportunity every year to showcase the musical talents of the african continent.
Born and raised by a Christian family in Carrefour (Haiti), his father is from Petite-Rivière-de-Nippes, his mother is from Grand'Anse (Haiti). During his childhood, he was more interested in football. At the age of 12 Constant has joined a football school. However, this sporting activity did not stop him from singing. At the age of thirteen he left the football school then met Jean Robert Belot, a Haitian musician and painter who taught him private guitar lessons, and that's when he began to devote himself more to music.
In 2008, Constant and some friends founded a band called "The Three J" then began to sing seriously in his zone and participate in some cultural activities. In 2010, he made his first major appearance on scene by participating in "Digicel Stars" and that's when he became very popular thanks to his original songs highly appreciated by the public.
In 2014, during his third participation in "Digicel Stars", he released a single entitled "Mizik Se Medikaman'm" (which means "Music is my medicine") in collaboration with P-jay, a famous Haitian rapper . In the same year, he won the second place of a singing contest organized by the Maritime Service and Navigation of Haiti.
On September 15, 2015, he released his first digital album titled "Mizik Se Medikaman'm". Which means "Music is my medicine".
