Abi Ann について
Abi (born Abigail DawnAnn Hoffman in Midland, Texas on June 26, 1997) is an accomplished singer, songwriter and touring artist at the young age of 17. Abi has recently toured with Jesse McCartney on his Live Nation InTechnicolor tour as well as IM5 on the It's Getting Weird tour.
Awards are no scarce item for Abi as she has been earning titles from the Independent Music Network and the Indie Music Channel for the past four years. She currently holds the title of Teen Artist of the Year for 2015 and was Favorite Country Artist and the coveted Artist of the Year for 2014 across all genres through the Indie Music Channel. She has also been awarded Country Songwriter of the Year and Teen Songwriter of the Year for 2014 as well through IMC.
Abi has had 7 placements of songs in film/tv in the past several years including several in Hello Herman, an Anti-bully themed movie. Her platform for bringing awareness to the issue of bullying stems from personal experience. Abi has written songs as well as headlined Anti-Bully rallies and toured the East Coast on the JNFE No Bully Tour in 2011. Her passion for Charity work is strong in the areas of Cystic Fibrosis and Cancer awareness having friends and family affected by both.
A strong work ethic instilled in Abi early on in her life, she successfully balances a rigorous school schedule as well as her touring, songwriting and appearances while planning to attend Belmont University in Nashville. She is an avid scuba diver, surfer, swimmer, race car driver, spinner, markswoman and has travelled to well over 40 countries and speaks fluent French.
In her own words, she says, “I’m an honest, relatable and an empowering young woman. I am confident and sexy - not in a scandalous or revealing way - but because I take pride in my intelligence, creativity, power and appearance. I am by nature a care taker and share my emotions through song and conversation. Ultimately, I am an artist simply because that’s the way I feel I can make an impact and at least help one person for the better.”
Abi’s music has been shaped by the various experiences she has gone through so far in her life – relationships, break-ups, traveling and performing for thousands of people while touring across the United States. It’s real-life moments that she wouldn’t trade for anything. “I think that growing up in Texas, moving to LA, then to Nashville has dramatically helped me embrace all cultures, musics, etc. as well as be inspired by them,” she says. Abi also credits her parents for encouraging her – and being a part of her journey – which included the ultimate tragedy of losing her father before she was a teenager. “I think that gave me a redefined perspective on life, and it definitely enabled me to channel much deeper emotions than before into my craft.”
Abi's new single "A Day Without" is available everywhere now. And be sure to check out Abi at https://www.abimusicofficial.com for upcoming tours and appearances.
