Two simple men contemplated what would be left after the Y2K armeggdon. Other than fast food wrappers and the countless number of discarded internet service CDs there would be three things: cockroches, rock'n roll, and rock and roll fans.

SMUSH an acronym for "Sonic Method for the Utter Subversion of Humanity" was chosen for the band name and soon symbol of much more. It would become a rosetta stone of rock, bringing the learning of the ancients, who's learning must not be lost, into the new common era.

This is the thought that energized Paul and Dan. A rock band to survive ARMEGEDDON! Preparations were made. a bass player named Marni Banker was recruited from the double x Chromosome camp for troubled youth. Known for her percussive licks and and superhuman ability to catch an even tan from a thermonuclear blast wearing only Ray-Bans, Marni is the prototypical pre-neo-stone-age player. And what would a post apocylptic band be without the arms of a titan to clap out a mighty drum rhythm? Indeed. He was discovered wandering not far from the Shadey Oaks "rest" home. May the name Joe Dapier forever echo in the Hall of Drummers!
