Time After Time について
"Time After Time" was formed by Karlis Lacis (keyboard) and Gints Paberzs (saxophone). Soon after, four other musicians were invited to join the band: Deniss Paskevics (saxophone, flute), Kaspars Zemitis (guitar), Ingars Vilums (bass-guitar), and Martins Linde (drums).
Every year the band has performed at various music festivals and competitions in and outside of Latvia, including "Art Genda" and "Liepajas Dzintars" in 1998, and a Pori Jazz festival 2000 in Finland. Band was entitled to Grand Prix prize in "Liepajas Dzintars" in 1998 and The Best Latvian Debut Album in 1999.
They have performed along side such well known stars as Arnis Mednis, Jay Stever, Raimonds Raubisko, Martins Kibers (Casablanca 2000), Gill Scott Herron Band (New York), Bauhouse (Hamburg), Nick Gotham (Canada), etc.
The style of the "Time After Time" combines funk and acid in a unique way. In addition to a few of their original compositions "Saulriets" and "Move Your Body", the band improvises on classical favorites like "I Feel Good", "Funk Soul Brothers", "Disco Time" and other.
In April of 2000 their third album "Time After Time - Live" was released. The video version of the "Time After Time - Live" album was the first live video released in the history of Latvian music.
The musicians are often invited to play at various social functions and parties. Every performance is marked by the band's true devotion to music and their enthusiastic energy.
Band's highly-anticipated fourth album, "Disc-Connecting", was released in June 2003. It contains collaborations with Linda Leen, Jay Stever, Olga Pirags, Jolanta Gulbe and Lithuanian group "Skamp". The album was nominated in the category of Best Pop Album 2003 at the 7th Annual Latvian Music Awards.
