She currently has her own show on BBC Radio 2, called Soul Sessions. She also competed in the ITV singing competition Hit Me Baby One More Time.
On February 14th 2001, Mica lost her brother to a shooting and has since campaigned against gun crime in the UK.
During January 2006, Mica appeared in the 4 part BBC TV series The Sound of Musicals. In April 2006, it was announced that she and model Lisa Butcher, were to take over from Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine, to be the new co-presenters of the long running BBC TV series What Not to Wear.
