Awake The Agony is a Metal band born in December 2009 in Trieste: powerful sonorities mixed with melodic riffs, based on tricky tempos and rhythmical games. GianPaolo at the first guitar, Stefano at the drums and Andrea at the bass are the founders of the band. Matteo at the vocals and Luca (Lee) from Imola (Bologna) at the second guitar came afterwards and completed the line-up: the band found the musical understanding needed to reach the desired sound. They finished their EP Dual Reality in the summer of 2010: six intense tracks recorded at the Ground Zero Recording Studio, belonging to the guitarist Luca itself, in Imola (Bologna) and then mixed and mastered at the Sick Boy Recording Studio of Marco Mantovani (Hopes Die Last) in Ladispoli (Rome). They published the EP in December 2011 on digital download on BandCamp, along with their first official video on BlankTV Feature. They are also found an endorsement deal with Dojo Clothing. The full-length they are now writing makes Awake The Agony one of the most particular and promising italian band. Their aim is to grow and mature in order to create an innovative and futuristic sound able to give new stimuli and horizons to the scene. ITALIANO Gli Awake The Agony nascono nel dicembre 2009 a Trieste: sonorità potenti miscelate a riff melodici, sulla base di prorompenti tempi e giochi di ritmi. I fondatori sono gli amici d'infanzia Gian Paolo alla prima chitarra, Stefano alla batteria e Andrea al basso. Accolgono successivamente Matteo alla voce e Luca (Lee) di Imola alla seconda chitarra, completando la formazione: un affiatamento musicale attraverso il quale la band riesce finalmente a raggiungere la sonorità desiderata. Nell'estate del 2010 concludono la realizzazione dell'EP Dual Reality: 6 brani di forte impatto registrati al Ground Zero Recording Studio, di proprietà dello stesso chitarrista Luca, con successivo mixing e mastering presso il Sick Boy Recording Studio di Marco Mantovani (Hopes Die Last) di Ladispoli (Roma) A fine 2011 sono stati pubblicati l'EP, disponibile al download su BandCamp, e il primo video ufficiale, diretto da Salvatore Perrone, su BlankTV. Hanno inoltre intrapreso una collaborazione con la rinomata marca di abbigliamento Dojo Clothing. Con un full length attualmente in fase di scrittura, gli Awake The Agony sono sicuramente una delle band italiane più particolari quanto promettenti. In una scena già satura di gruppi validi, il gruppo vuole crescere e maturare creando un sound innovativo e futuristico che possa dare nuovi stimoli e orizzonti. Good music from Trieste, Italy.
